Thanks everyone for the replies. I made a noob mistake, actually two, I should have ordered an extra spring as well. New springs will be ordered Monday. FWIW, it would not eject the last shell onto the carrier so...I put two dummy rounds in the business end of the extension tube, then the spring, and the gun ran flawless. I was sweating it but made it through the day. Thanks again!

I stuck the spring down in the Nordic +9, measured 16" out and cut the spring.

I am not new to competitive shooting. I shot my first 3gun match about 30 days ago and was INSTANTLY hooked. I am about to shoot my 3rd match tomorrow. Shotgun wise, I started with a M1 Tactical with a factory mag extension I had in the safe (with ghost rings). This week I bought a 26" M2 field for a match tomorrow. I broke it in with about 125 rounds of 3 dram walmart bulk ammo and it ran 100%. I ordered a nordic +9 tube that arrived today. I cut the spring 16 inches longer than the nordic tube and installed it. When I manually cycle the gun with the cartridge drop lever, the last round from the magazine does not exit the tube quite all the way. The slide locks back. If I push up on the carrier from the bottom the gun goes into battery. I am using the factory red anodized aluminum follower. I wonder if the inertia of recoil will help propel the last cartridge onto the carrier? I am bringing the M1 as a backup gun but really wanted to shoot a vent rib barrel with a bead tomorrow. I added 4 inches of the spring I cut off back in the tube and same thing. Any help would be greatly appreciated! I have been reading and searching this forum (primarily) for all my issues so far. Great forum for competitive shooters! I kinda think I got a underpowered spring. I am shipping the gun off to C-Rums Monday to make it race ready.
