I admit I have also been tempted to see what 7000 lbs of angry, Crew Cab Long Bed would do to 2000 lbs of boom box in a close encounter of the road rage kind.

Burn a few of these guys and this will stop.
T
But if we burn them alive the ACLU will get mad

In my travels today, I covered over 800 miles and saw Diesel ranging from 2.799 to 3.159. The pump at the Flying J truck stop on I-20 in Shieveport went up to $104.00 on one swipe of the card.

Howdy all,
I've got a line on a lightly used Gold Team 38 super.
I was talking to a machinist in a shop that does sheet metel as well as other stuff. I asked if he could weld two mags together using the welding equipment in the shop. The end result of the long conversation was that it wouldn't be that hard to design and cut out 170mm magazine blanks with either a laser or water jet and make forming dies out of either aluminium for a very short run or steel and make a bunch of mags.
If he can make reliable 170's, how much would anyone be willing to pay and how many do ya'll think he would need to make?

Well, you'd better work on the collator then. jmorris on here did a cool feeder setup. http://www.brianenos.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=620. The way he uses the solenoid-based error-correction is pretty interesting.
Hey Roy,
If you can get parts drawings, I can get some of the machine shops I service to make the parts.

I carry two Benchmades, a Surefire L4 LED, and a Gerber Multiplier all the time. When fixing machine tools I'll use just about all of them. Actually the second Benchmade is for when the first won't cut cardboard boxes open anymore.
Just a word of advice, if you have a knife with the black teflon coating, be carefull cutting carpet. It may screw up the coating.

The Duracell, Energizer, Sanyo, or what ever 1/3n batteries cost $3.00 or more. The Energizer part # is 2L76. This actually means it is 2 A76 batteries in a case. You can use 2 A76 ( LR44 ) batteries instead. You can usually find them for $0.50 or less in blister packs without too much difficulty. I've done business with Microbattery.com and got 4 25 packs for 39.00 including S&H.

There is a free program called Convert. It is available at:
http://joshmadison.net/software/convert/
It will convert all kinds of things. Want to know how many furlongs in a lightyear? Or the speed of light in knots? Or how many square millimeters are in an acre? It has 21 tabs including a custom tab you can input your own conversion into. Have fun.

I have a friend who got out of the Navy and went to work for the Border Patrol. But he is an Electronics Tech and takes care of the equipment and is up on the Northern Border. He likes it and has been doing it since before 9/11. He doesn't have to speak Spanish but he did have to learn Canadian.

Sorry Dave,
but you are incorrect.
Perhaps you should re-read my post - you should be saying "Sorry, shred"
OK, Rapid Roy is wrong, but I was having a HAL9000 moment and couldn't resist the "Sorry Dave" comment. Watch out for red eye computers and air locks.

Ahem, uhh Huston, it was your roll. Sorry. No worries, you'll get a new one, brutha
No worries, I still have 9000 or so left.

Hmm, I see a potential money machine here. Would help offset shooting costs. Seriously, the drawing is still strong, however she also has discovered stickers. Her bedroom window barely transfers sunlight because of all the little stickers. She found a roll of pasters this weekend and went crazy. I had a black Pelican rifle case, it is now brown.
That roll had a 1000 pasters on it. Are they all gone?

Sorry Dave,
but you are incorrect. On my and every other stroker I've seen ( and that is a bunch, including Dave's new personal gun ) it is not the frame that is modified but the slide has the rails extended. The added slide travel is any thing from 0.2 to 1.0 inch. The 1.0 inch increase was a 6 in. limited that was very cool.

Howdy,
I vote Dillon. I've got an old FL-2000. I bought it used back in the early 90's. The only thing I have had problems with is the nut that holds the top on, but a package of butterfly nuts have taken care of that. I hope this endorsment hasn't cursed my tumbler 'cause them motor is no longer made.

Hey,
What happened to the club that used to shoot at Hurlburt Field? I think it was the North West Florida Practical Shooters, but that was early 90's and I've slept since then. It first shot at the FOP range but the animal shelter nearby compained to the city and they lost the range. The city took the property back and then realized they had to clean the lead and tires up. The berms were tires buried in sand about 20 feet tall.
Niceville is just east of Fort Walton Beach and Pensacola.

I've got a 99 F-350 crew cab long bed with the 7.3 and an auto trans. I think I've got a super chip. It has mild tuning. It was supposed to be a balance between power and economy, and get rid of the damn governer. I put it in when the truck rolled 100K miles. I've now got a little less than 300K miles and the truck runs great still. I did break a Universal screwing around at a stop light. However I've never had any problems with the transmission. It was pointed out that I should never use a K&N air filter as it lets too much stuff through it. As for milage, on the last tank ( filled up around 4:30 this after noon ) 17.1 mpg. This was the first time I tried to run the B20 biodiesel. If I run Shell premium Diesel I get 17.5 to 18.5 mpg. I have gotten 20.+ exactly twice and I don't know what was different. I got 22. once and I figure it was a mistake somehow. Oh it really doesn't make any difference how I drive or how the truck is loaded down. I helped a buddy deliver lead bullets to Mid South Shooters Supply from North Al to Clarksville Tn. We had around 4K lbs of bullets and 1000 lbs of diesel ( 140 gal aux tank ) I didn't notice any difference in mpg. Oh back to the mention of the governer, I really don't know how fast my truck will go, but it will double the speed limit.

Howdy All,
Today in Williamson Co. Tx. A repeat DUI offender was given a 55 yr stay in the care of the Texas Dept of Corrections.

I think I saw them in the Jerry's flier last month.

I'm in Miami this week-end. It's amazing how many high rises downtown still have plywood windows.
Huston in Miami, soon back to Austin

The reason the SPS isn't available in the US is the STI patent is only a US patent not an international one, or at least that is what I was told by an individual that worked at STI at that time.

The LED lights with either a 1w, 3w or 5w Luxeon LED are bright as hell. I've use my L4 almoast every day and carry it with me any time I'm wearing pants ;-) The only time I've been without it in the last couple of month is when I change belts to go to matches. I've got the light and a Gerber Multi-plier velcroed in place on my belt. Streamlight makes a model of the Scorpion with the Luxeon LED. The TL-2 & the TL-3 also have the Luxeon as well. The Streamlight Jr Luxeon LED is a nice little AA flash light a little bigger than a mini maglight as well.
Also you can find CR-123A batteries on line for around $1 apiece when ordered in qty.

Well, I can fill-up on either side. Driver side is 42 gal factory tank, Passenger side is 140 gal Aux tank. It just takes a loan to fill-up. Oh, its a dsl. I wouldn't want to sit on that much gas.

I was in Mombasa Kenya on Dec 17 a couple of years ago ( 1985 or so ) as part of a 12 man detatchment. We got to the airport to fly to Nairobi and then on to JFK then New Orleans. We were told " That flight was cancelled and there was no way the airline could get us there in time to make our flight. " We ended up chartering a plane and charging it to the Navy. I just LUV long distance travel :-(

I bought a five pack of screen housings from Pact just after I got my timer/chrono. I don't have any of them left. But the unit is over 10 yrs old.
