Magtech and Sellier & Bellot are used by almost every competition shooter here in South Africa, because of the very high price of other brands. We have no problems with them. At the last purchase, our club members bought more than 150 000 S&B primers - with no issues

Way to make the rest of us feel inadequate. Thanks for posting that, atlas. Now i think I'm going to take up lawn bowls

One solution is to add polish to the empty media (no cases) and tumble for a few minutes to distribute it before adding the cases.
But i just add polish, then tumble for a few seconds until the polish blobs go below the surface and then add the cases. For some reason i have no problems with polish inside the cases.
I use liquid car wax.

But dragging those hangers and shirts around the range will be hell....

You guys should try living in South Africa.
Almost 59 000 murders by stabbing alone last year - and our population is about one tenth of that in the US.

With a three-pin plug, like the British ones, you could remove two of the pins and just leave the earth / ground pin. This would let you tie stuff into the earth connection of the electrical system (but you may still want a resistor in the circuit for safety reasons, as previously mentioned).

I break the book sections into two pieces (maybe three for a longer section if i have limited time). I do the first piece one night and the rest on the next night. There is no rule about doing all the drills at once - and it may even be better to focus on a few at a time.
Do something that works for your time availability, goals and needs

I got one of those too - but then Zimbabwe is just next door to south Africa.
When i got it, it was worth six south African cents (about half a US cent )

I've got two kids (6&9). I started out training them using airsoft (using a WE Hi -Capa 5.1) The older one now shoots a .22LR pistol as well. It's a good way to start because airsoft is almost completely safe and you can start them slowly in a low pressure way (and with no recoil). I started with safe dry fire gun handling and moved on from there....

Do you guys get the QB79 or AR2079 (industry brand) rifles over in the states?
I have one of each and they're fantastic. Pretty damn accurate and pretty cheap too. Powered by paintball CO2 tanks, so no pumping or expensive high pressure air stuff

Amazingly, I use skateboard tape and just apply it to the original wooden grips - no sanding or anything. I just clean the area with nail polish remover (essentially acetone) before applying. It sticks just fine for me and has never peeled off

Been there.
After about six to eight months the pain went away. I guess the muscles get stronger if you keep up the training

Thanks. I'll try to find some. Often, Amazon won't ship stuff to south Africa because it gets stolen by post office employees. But at least now I have a brand name to search for.
I bought the bifocal type but, as you said, they're useless for shooting unless you like tilting your head back all the time

I've been looking for some for a while now, robport. Can you suggest a brand or a source to buy them from. I can't seem to find anything suitable here in South Africa

Strange. After 15 000 rounds my plastic guide rod is as clean and unmarked as the day i got it.I wonder why different guns behave differently

There's actually nothing wrong with the plastic guide rod. It is completely functional and effective at doing its job. I wouldn't bother changing something that works well

Same for my cz83 in .380
No accuracy problems at 25 metres and beyond

Are they clean? My TS mags behave very badly if they get dirty.

That magwell is held in place by the pin on the end of the main spring plug. To get it off you need to depress the main spring enough to get the plug to move so the magwell can slide off. It will be easy once the pin is no longer holding it in place. I used a screw driver to depress the main spring coils
Tallguy - i had the same problem. If you drill a dimple into the frame of the gun, in line with the grub screw in the side of the magwell, then the screw will no longer be able to slip and the magwell will stay in place. Remember to lubricate the bit while drilling because the frame is quite hard

Mags pouches.

I only use my magnet (in running through a stage) about once a year, when i come across an all-mags-on-table start.
However, I use it for every stage - it holds my load magazine before i make ready - and then it holds all of the used magazines at the end of the stage, so I'm not tempted to risk putting an empty mag in a belt pouch and forgetting to reload it
