  1. Absolutely beautiful!

Very nice job, only the "sand paper" grips are breaking it up a bit.

    But look follows function.

So I´m having now the old and original rubber grips from the CZ75 on mine.

Would really like to shoot an Accu TS.

    How does it perform?

  2. You should go over 150gr. and use a faster powder (careful uploading).

There you begin to recognize, that the felt recoil melts down like butter in the sun.

I did this with 153gr. Ares bullets and N320 or No.2, it is amazing.

  3. Correct, having three CZ´s, and all of ´em have a very short throat, so OAL is a problem with some bullets.

By using the heavier ones, it is an option to look for those who are smaller dia. at the front (.348" or less), those have kind of a step at the front, where they come out of the case.

Or you are casting your own, using a mold which works.

Or you are going to let a gunsmith mill out your throat a bit.

    Or......

  4. Only for the books, gentlemen:

Me, as the fred starter, has bought a Dillon 650 now, mostly because of the case feeder problems from Hornady.

I´ve googled around, spoke and wrote with Hornady owners, contacted Hornady via email and made my decision.

I don´t want to buy a product for fairly enough money and have to "repair/customize" it, brand new, out of the box.

Thanks for all of your infos,

    have a good life,

    Jay.

  5. Hey buckaroo,

I´m coming from the 550 and wanted to go faster, so I switched to 650.

I´m doing now twice the ammo I did before in the same time.

The only thing that stops me is when I have to fill up the tube with brass.

I´m sure, that I can go a lot faster with a case feeder.

A 650 without a case feeder seems to me like running a race car with bycicle wheels.

But why spend more money than needed?

I´m pretty sure, that the Dillon case feeder is a good and well engineered product, which will do what it´s supposed to.

But when I buy it and have to add all the shell plates it is more than three times the money as I need for this BR case feeder, which runs with multiple ammo.

So anyone else who wants to bring in his experiences please?

  6. Thanks noylj.

Well, it is Germany in English because of the elder name of the area (Germania like the Romans said, when they got there package), where those folks who spoke a similar language (which different dialects), came from.

There were two areas in northern Europe, one where the Romans where reigning and the folks had to speak Roman, and the other part, where the Romans fled from, Germania.

You don´t think, that the commies invented big walls, did you?

    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Limes

Deutsch comes from the old Germanian word "thioda" which meant "belongig to the folk".

The language of those who belonged to the thioda was called thiodesk, which became after centuries to diutisk and then deutsch in the end.

(The Italian word for German is still "Tedesco" by the way.)

And now it came reverse, because now the land was named after the language, deutsch land was the area where the folks were speaking deutsch.

    Was that understandable?

    Humm, probably not.

So to make it easy, Germany stands for the land and Deutsch for the language.

    :goof:

  7. Taroman, thanks for your infos.

Which bullet exactly do you shoot?

RN with grimp groove would be superior I suppose.

Could cast and coat my own too, if I´m able to find a good mold.

Where have you been in Germany, Frankfurt?

I´m from nearby Freiburg, first rising hills of the Black Forest around here, with a good view to the flat area around the Rhine.

  8. Hey everybody!

A buddy of mine has bought a S&W 625 and wants to rock it in IPSC.

He has used some factory round nose 230grainers, what I´m calling a "hardball" round.

In training with the bullet-clips there have some issues shown up.

First was, that they, even it were RN bullets, stucked sometimes on the cylinder.

The case mouthes hang at the margins of the cylinder.

Second thingy, the rounds (Geco 230) made a factor of 192 out of the wheel pistola, what is Yiiiiiiiiiiihaaaaaaaaaa! - way to much.

So, which bullet would you recommend?

RN I suppose and was thinking about a bullet with a crimp groove, the get the case mouthes flat with the surface of the bullets.

    Any suggestions?

    P.S.:

I´m a boolit caster and a coater, so a suitable mold would be an option, too.

  9. Hey guys,

can you teach me, how to shoot fast swingers?

I´ve had a pretty good performance (for me  ) at the German Geco Masters, a Level III - IPSC - Match over here.

At 288 shots minimum I did 85% Alphas, BUT, did 10 Mikes too, 7 from them on fast moving swingers.

If the swinger has a visible "dead point", where it stops for a moment before it moves back, I shoot him there.

But in this match, the moving targets were mostly swinging by pretty fast, no returning point to shoot at.

How can I get this done?

    Need help.
