Yeah, mine definitely doesn't turn off. I've left it on the counter untouched for 15, maybe even 30 minutes at a time and it is still going strong. I even checked last night BEFORE I picked it up to make sure I wouldn't wake it. Oh well, doesn't seem to be an issue. I replace before major matches, and leave it on during the day anyway.

I love mine, about 3K rounds on my open gun with it on so far, so still new. I am not 100% sure the auto-on/off works, or if there even is one. I leave it on all day during matches and during my practice sessions, so at least 30 minutes per day, and I have yet to have a battery die in the last 4 months. If I did replace a battery, it was one time, but I'm not positive I have replaced one yet.
If it's supposed to auto-off, how long does it take?

That's a good attitude to have. classifications in 3GN were never fully integrated. You'd have legit professional shooters classified in the middle tiers, some with no classification at all, shooting and winning major matches. Kind of defeats the purpose in my opinion. Every since I hit A class in USPSA, I've not put much weight on class and really just tried to get solid finishes in my division.

Sorry, but no. It's the same way that USPSA classifications don't necessarily mean that you will perform well at a major match. Plenty of Masters and GM's finished in the 70% range...
Also, those "titles" associated with each class could have easily been called something different. That said, it still takes a certain type of skill to move up class in any sport, so it's not completely arbitrary. Just don't go telling people you're a semi-professional shooter just because you hold that title from 3GN

Not a 3GN fan. Stages have historically been boring at a lot of matches, and yes the drama ^ If you knew everything out there you'd probably avoid it too. So I'll keep my mouth shut haha I do not disagree that 3GN was incredibly important for the growth of the sport and I think it's decline in recent years has also contributed to stagnant growth of the sport. But, there's other awesome organizations out there so I intend to support them.

Similar gaps to a revolver I had once. Cleaning was chore.
The end of the barrel doesn't leave the sight block. So where are you referring to? It is just like the comp on a Chaos, there's no lead buildup on the backside where it faces the slide.

That's just my free advice, you're obviously free to do as you please. Simplicity is nice, yes, but there is something to be said about modernity, and it definitely doesn't have to have any additional features. But if your target market is primarily wholesale, then maybe this doesn't stifle business at all.

When I went to get extra magazines, I bought the MBX tube and base plate separate along with the Grams followers and springs... about the same price.

Why switch? Most of the appeal of MBX is that they are turnkey. Doesn't sound like switching gains you anything.
Granted, I did have that one issue with the one MBX with rounds getting underneath the follower, which one could argue is because of the size of the MBX ones and may be more prone to that issue than other brands. Still, as I mentioned before, MBX replaced that mag for me at no cost.

Geez, didn't know they got to be thousands! I'd probably be willing to spend 4-500 at most for a complete setup. I think the greatest benefit would be practicing your transition at the moment the site lifts, which is hard to practice in dry-fire. You have to rely on imagining where during the trigger press that the gun will go off.

Well I didn't do that today ^^^ but I did get a new PR by 30 pounds, 215. Wrists felt good! Took my sweet-ass time warming up since I was the only person there.

Stippling for carry, grip tape (I have the Springer Precision one on my X5) for competition. It's extremely aggressive and it makes me consider getting smooth metal grips for my 2011 in order to get a silicon carbide (i think that's what it's called) treatment.

Ron Avery told me airsoft is going to be the future. Yes, there are some people who have adopted it, but it will become a standard pretty soon IMO.
I plan on getting a setup once I move out of an apartment and get an actual house next year. So yes, if you have the space, do it! I do not think having a trigger that is the same is that important. It will provide you good transition and sight alignment practice. Dry firing and live firing before a match is where you can train on your trigger.
They also said, you don't even need to shoot the BB's, it only adds to the setup and cleanup.

Maybe I'm just in better shape and more flexible, but I haven't been using wraps the list couple of months. So I guess y'all were right! haha I didn't find that other aspects became weaker or anything but I just don't feel like I need them. I have spent more time warming up and stretching the wrists before lifts that require it.
Today is heavy clean and jerk day, though, so we will see how my wrists feel.

I shoot once or twice per month at most and my skills are rapidly improving. Dry fire is where you will find improvement, but I am a fan of occasional cross-training. Once every couple months or so, go shoot a different discipline. It helps for thinking outside the box and it really helps with mental prep. I've found that I really focus on my mental prep and visualization when I shoot other disciplines especially since my physical prep (live fire and dry-fire) training is probably lacking.

Visualize the sights lifting and getting good hits. However long that takes is the right answer, but you need to visualize good shooting, not just moving and making it through the stage.

There's a reason KC no longer shoots open Glocks. Open major through Glocks is not a long term good idea. Listen to his interview on Firearms Nation podcast.

Couldn't tell you. Maybe I'll load up a few at that length and test myself. I would imagine the OAL would make negligible difference to the feel of the gun if it's all you change. The idea behind OAL is reliable feeding and more room for powder if you need it, because that's what will work the comp. Let me know if you find anything!
