  2. Anybody have load info for .223 Hornady FMJBT with 748 out of a DPMS 16" M4 style barrel? Grains? Looking for a standard velocity (factory specs.) but will take others info as well. Thanks to all. Dan
  3. Oooh, That's mandatory, got one on already!
  4. That's what we issue now. I'm going to be building something similar for the house (in 6.8SPC) and I've settled on a Trijicon Mini-ACOG. No switches, no batteries, light weight, but a little expensive. Since the wifey might use it I wanted to keep it absolutely reliable and simple. I'm not sure you can cowitness irons with the Mini-ACOG, but I figure it won't be in a combat environment so the chances of killing it are slim to none. R, I have a C-more and the Reflex (1x24) and I can't decide which one to keep. The Reflex does co-witness with the irons, and I do like the features that you mentioned. Just wanted to here opinions of others. I think I will keep the Reflex! Thanks to all who replied,
  5. Depends on what you want to use it for. If you're looking at Multi-gun, I'd suggest a Meopta K-Dot (1-4 Illum). If simple plinking is the game, I'd probably go with the C-More (especially if you run one on an Open gun). No multi gun, just plinking, maybe as defensive purposes.
  6. What are your opinions between these two sights for a M4? C-More or Trijicon Reflex (1x24 model). Any input? Thanks,
  7. Has Anyone put this sight on their M&P9L and did it change your point of aim from the factory front sight? It says for M&P 5" with factory Rear fixed sight. I'm only going to change it if it is the same. Measurements seem to match but has anybody experienced it? 021-052 Sight - Front/DP/For Smith & Wesson M&P 5" w/Factory Fixed Rear/Optic, .125" x 200" Tall
  8. Yep, I got rid of my Glocks too. All I shoot now are M&P's! 9 fullsize, 9L, 9c, and Fullsize 45.
  9. Rumors heard that Tactical Solutions talked about making one next year.
  10. Anybody have any input on this? Would shooting a 9mm .356 Zero 125gr. JHP be ok, versus the .355 Zero 124gr. JHP in the M&P 9mm er’s? I know they list .356 125gr. as 38 super, but does it matter. Can the .356 be used? Any issues? Would one be better than the other? I know that when I had my race gun (9x23) I shot the .356 125gr. out of it and it was more accurate. Could this apply in a standard 9mm barrel as well? Thanks,
  11. Thanks Julie for keep us posted on these issues!!!
  12. Are the factory Glock and factory M&P recoil spring compatible with each other? I want to change out my stock M&P9L recoil spring for a 13#er. I have a Glock 13#er laying around and wondering if I can use that in my M&P?
  13. Will the M&P 9 full size gun fit in the Bladetech DOH for the M&P9L and Pro?
  14. Anybody find a good reload for the M&P9L for (minor) Production? Thought I would ask to see what people are using and having good luck with. Thanks
  15. They are factory smith and wesson m&P mags (from Midway USA). By the way. they are listed in the new Brownells catalog #61 too. How is it going Howard? have not seen you in a awhile. PM sent!
  16. FYI, Midway has the M&P 9mm 17 round mags in stock for $34.99. I just ordered 3 last Friday morning and got them today already. I wish they were cheaper but at least I found some!
  17. Does anybody have an answer for the base pad question. I would like to know too! Thanks,
  18. Are the M&P9L and Pro legal for IDPA?
  19. I emailed this to Julie Goloski a couple of weeks ago and got this answer. Julie, I just bought a M&P9L and since you shoot for Smith and Wesson I was wondering if you could answer a question for me. Has Smith and Wesson sold the required number of the M&P9L's to become legal for USPSA Production class? If so, do you know when this could happen? Any input on this subject would be greatly appreciated. Thank you for your time. Sincerely, Dan Hi Dan, Thanks for the email. We have not hit the numbers yet. Unfortunately USPSA won’t let us combine the number for the longslides even though the only differences are the sights, trigger job and the serration style on the slide. We should be on track to be legal by Springtime and hopefully sooner. We may hit numbers as early as February. Basically S&W makes what we receive orders for from dealers/distributors. I wish I had better news. I know everyone is anxious to shoot them. As soon as we meet the numbers, I will be submitting the paperwork to USPSA. Wishing you a happy holiday season! Julie
  20. Thanks for all the input. Sounds like 5" is the way to go. Gator
  21. Thinking about buying a M&P 9mm for Production, I shot a fullsize and was impressed. Anybody have any thoughts on the which one to buy, the fullsize or the 5". Have not shot the 5" yet so any input would be great. Thanks, Gator
