I hope that none of you and nobody else in the membership casts a vote for Yeemin's replacement, whoever the candidates are. Having total of 50 people participate in the voting process will be the first and immediate show of non-confidence to the board.

Yeah, but won’t it also get the guy they want “in” elected?

Anyone seen an exploded parts diagram for these?  Can you still do the Gen 5 trigger return spring replacement for an even lighter feel?

You think the gen5 trigger return spring is lighter than what's installed?  I would have guessed they were the same.

I like the peltor sport tri flange (the lime green ones). Still hear good with electronic muffs over the top. And they are corded so you can just put them on the back of the neck when not in use

Thanks, these look like they would work for me too. $7 for a pack of 3 on Amazon meds the decision easy enough.

  4. Ok, the search function is failing me this morning. Has anyone compared the window sizes across the wide range of handgun optics currently available?  Interested mostly in the Shield, Holosun, and others. I remember there was a discussion here with a comparison of a whole bunch but I can’t seem to find it now, and don’t remember if it listed window sizes, but there was a good pic of them all lined up. Can anyone point me in the right direction?

    Thanks.

"You want the targets to be in focus."

    and this

"With my mini red dots i just wear my everyday glasses prescription..."

My new shooting glasses' insert will just have the upper prescription. No need for the lower.

don’t you ever help with scoring or running the tablet?  I use my everyday glasses with a red dot. They are progressive lenses, I need to be able to read the tablet through the bottom portion of the lens.

If you can afford it, the 1100 is great. Swaging station is why I went with it vs. the 750. Got tired of crimped 9mm brass being an issue, and now it's not. Stepped brass is another story, the swaging die won't go past the step, but it's less common here than crimped brass. I also hate reloading, so I just set a week, load a bunch of primer tubes, and go nuts once every few months

Same here, I got the 1100 because I'm old and wanted an easier loading process.  I love my 1100.

Here are a few of my cases that I cut myself from a small to a large case… they’re not Pelicans but the Seahorse case is very comparable to your Pelican 1535… I replaced all the pluck foam that the cases originally came with and found a closed cell foam that worked so much better.

    Leezway,

how did you cut the foam?

I’ve been using the my gun collection since 2008. It’s a windows based program and is free to download.  Requires no internet connection to https://github.com/burnsoftnet/MyGunCollection

you can download the latest release setup Msi  package at. https://github.com/burnsoftnet/MyGunCollection/releases

last updated in sept 2022 so it is still being updated

thanks, but that’s not really what I’m looking for. When I started shooting I used to keep a separate notebook for both of my guns and would update them after each range session. That lasted about a year.

Right now I just want to track my trap gun as I’m having issues with light strikes on the bottom barrel. It started after about 500 rounds. I cleaned the gun, and I think I made the mistake of lubing the firing pins during reassembly, because the problem returned after about 1000 rounds. Started happening with Fiochhi shells, but then with Federal as well.
This time I installed a J and P firing pin and spring kit and kept the pins dry. Now I want to keep track of rounds fired and ammo used to see if it happens again, and if so how long does it take.

So, in reality what I want is a very simple spreadsheet or even just using the Notes app. But I was wondering if there was an app that did it.

The Gun Log SPC app seems to do what I want, and a whole lot more, so I’ll play around with it until I see if there is something simpler around.

I picked up one with the romeo zero last week and finally got it out to the range…

Put two mags through the suppressor and it was a whole lot of fun.

Ugh, I “hate” you suppressor people!

I am sooooo jealous, I can’t imagine how much fun it would be to have one on a .22 plinker like the P322. But, alas, we can’t have them in MA, so I am screwed for now. But one day, I hope to live in a free state where I can equip multiple guns with them.

    :)

  10. Just wondering if anyone is aware of any IOS apps that can be used to track a firearms usage. I’m mostly interested in some sort of logbook that lets you enter a Date, rounds fired, and notes. Similar to the many vehicle maintenance and gas mileage trackers already out there.

I want to track rounds between cleanings, and parts replacements and things like that, as well as failures that occur so that if I start getting light strikes at the 5,000 round mark, I know to change springs at 4,000 rounds.

    Thanks.

Front sight post shouldn’t be a factor if you’re using the RDS ‘correctly’. With iron sights you’re forced to focus on and align 3 focal points to aim… rear sight, front sight, target. With an RDS you only need to focus on the target/objective. Plus, if you’re shooting RDS with both eyes open and focused on your target/objective the front sight post should become basically invisible to your dominant eye. Has something to do with how your visual cortex processes the data better from your dominant eye.

no matter what, it still takes up some window real estate. I just don’t care for them on a range toy or my competition pistols. I have a 2nd P322 with iron sights if I want to shoot that instead.
    :)
