My 11 year old daughter had decided she wants to shoot steel matches with me. I thought about starting her off with a 22, but since I can't find mags or ammo for 22 I am going to let her use my old M&P Pro 9mm. She handles the recoil from factory loads as well as my reloads, but I want to try and come up with a reliable reduced power load to help her follow up shots. I will be ordering a lighter recoil spring and will be loading plated 147's with tite group. I'm looking for info on how low I can take it and still have it be reliable and safe. Thanks for any info.

Who carries the 12.5lb spring? All I have been able to find is the 12.

I have had several shooters tell me that I am over sprung, so I am looking to switch to a guide rod. I am shooting a STI Edge 40, 180gr Xtreme plated with a 169 PF. Which guide rod and spring weight would everyone recommend? Thanks for any input.

I don't think I would want a star at the house. Takes to long to set up.

I just step out my back door to my 500 yard range, but for matches I have to drive 20 minutes.

I shot the star for the first time last week and both times I started t the bottom. I even told myself shoot the top first, but still started at the bottom.

I'm shooting Limited because I have always thought the 2011 was the sexiest pistol and I recently had the opportunity to purchase an Edge.

I just made the switch from shooting FClass to USPSA. I just don't have the time right now for FClass. I'm shooting a M&P Pro 9mm and a STI Edge 40 SW. While searching the web for pointers on pistol shooting I came across this site and WOW am I impressed.
