    Thanks @dtuns!!!

If you don't mind, tell me what you like about the Competitor and if there's any dislikes or recommended mods beyond the trigger?  Is the barrel accuracy better on that model than the older models?

I'm really not looking for a ported gun, but liked the options on the PC ported -- feel, weight, length. Of course, the one I shot had the sweet Apex barrel.  Are you happy with the accuracy in the Competitor's stock configuration?

They are more accurate than the older models. I'm happy with the gun don't feel I need to upgrade anything else. Only complaint is I had to cut down the width of magwell for IDPA CO to fit the box I also shoot USPSA with it and just remove magwell.

I've been told the Apex is the best.  Have you compared the two?  Not challenging you, but curious what you like about it or why it may be better.

Yes I have Apex in all of mine and went with the Overwatch cause Apex didn't have a trigger for metal guns at the time. Obviously everyone has there preferences but I really like the Overwatch triggers more than Apex Apex is a great trigger though. New stock flat trigger are pretty good out of the box. I feel trigger is more crisp and less take up than Apex.

  3. 8.6.1 General Ammunition Carrier Rules 8.6.1.1 Instead of using ammunition carriers, shooters may carry spare loading devices in their pockets or belt. Shooters may mix carry methods but they must be concealed from view at the start signal. 8.6.1.2 Ammunition carriers may be modified to meet IDPA rules. 8.6.1.3 Magnets worn on belts or in concealment garments may not substitute traditional carriers. 8.6.1.4 Spare ammunition is considered stowed when it is secured in an approved carrier, or a pocket. After the start signal, magazines optionally may be stowed inside the belt. Spare or partial devices are not considered stowed in a shooters hand, armpit, mouth or similar scheme. 8.6.2 Magazine Carriers 8.6.2.1 Must be suitable for concealed carry and all-day continuous wear. 8.6.2.2 Must be worn on an IDPA legal belt. 8.6.2.3 Magazine carriers must be worn in a location on the belt so that the magazine is completely concealed. 8.6.2.4 The same exact location for magazines, magazine pouches, and/or ammunition feeding devices in pockets must be used for every stage in a single match, unless otherwise specified in a stage description.

I see that APEX has finally come out with a trigger set for the M&P 2.0 Metal.  It should be interesting to see how it compares with the stock trigger.

I have the 2.0 Competitor and it has a surprisingly good trigger from the factory.

It's better than stock trigger. I have Apex in all my M&P's

I have a kore edc belt as well and like it. i had the daa lynx belt and didnt like it. with the advent of half links and ratchets maybe i would have....

my biggest hopes for the kore competition belt is moving my gear and having it all still fit solid, and the adjustment ability of the kore ratchet vs just pulling velcro tighter.

I have the NEX belt of similar design for my EDC belt I really like it. Waiting on your review of this competition kore to decide to pull trigger on one.

For the Occluded Dot people, make sure that you are sighting in your dot when its still Occluded. If you sight in the dot without it Occluded then add the occlusion back on afterwards, don't be surprised if your POI is biased 6 - 8 inches Left or Right from your original Zero POI. The POI shift depends on which eye is your dominant eye as well as which eye is observing the occlusion. For example a Right Eye Dominate Shooter with the Occluded dot presented in front of the Right eye, will likely have a Left biased POI.

The real oddity about this scenario is that the Occluded Dot POI shift doesn't happen for everyone. In my training classes its been about a 50/50 mix of it happening or not. As always, test this out yourself to see if its a variable to consider.

Yesterday I checked my zero with and with out the dot occluded no change for me.

Yeah I tried grease and oil and no good. I coat the living crap out of the comp then after the match clean it then do it again. Was very easy to clean after doing this then I re apply it again. I let it dry then hit it again. Not sure more means better but hate cleaning this vertical comp and the one shot works so good I’m going to use it and a lot of it. I noticed it also helps remove carbon also.

I’ve tried so much stuff. I had an ultrasonic cleaner with Lucas products in it and it didn’t do much either.

I read about CLE but I have seen vids of it staining stainless. I also read the reaction with lead makes a toxic gas.

Give it a try. Cheap and easy to do.

    Do you mean CLR?

Expand through your powder drop and you can use both. Pretty much my set up.

I expand through powder drop but have Mr. bullet feeder, seating die, and a taper crimp no room for powder check. I haven't had good luck with seating and crimping in one station. That's why I use camera set up to look in every case for powder.

A hornady lnl with a mini mr bullet feeder. I may pull that and go back to a powder cop for a bit. I feel like im good (lots of lights) at visually confirming but maybe I let a few slip. Seems highly unlikely though! Thanks

I was loading on an LNL with Mr. bullet feeder and I used a camera to see powder in case worked well for me. Before I would just look in to every case.
