  1. I got one from RSR. They only sell to dealers, and I got the last one. I won't worry you all with what dealer cost is on them. You would just get mad. So, what needs to be done to these things out of the box to get them in shape.

First i would change out the hammer spring. im running a 13lbs hammer spring, extended firing pin with a 9lbs recoil spring. I can light off CCI primers but im running Winchester. Some guys go lower on the hammer spring and run just federals. You'll have to do some polishing on the contact points on the trigger bow. With a couple hours of sanding and polishing it will feel alot better! you should be able to find parts from Henning, Ben Steoger, or you can order from Europe at Eric G shop.

  2. we will continue paying because we are idiots. :P

I am one of them! You know there are alot of people doing well in production with guns that are only $5-600. A good buddy of mine is just about to make GM and he does it with a Block 34. its the just the idiots like me that fell in love with Stock II lol!

  3. Your still gonna pay 1900+ here is the states for a used one

Unintended consequences of the "Production" Division

John why do you hate it so much lol. First you convert me to shooting Tanfo/CZ style pistols, now you bust me up for paying too much for my Stock II lol! Oh Well i love them!

  4. like john (Kneelingatlas) said, you should come out to pala. This coming up saturday (14th) there is a USPSA Match. Its alot of fun. Stages have gotten alot better this year. Norco is my favorite but the drive is around 1.5-2 hour from us. Welcome and we hope to see you out there!

  5. Thanks for the information and advice everyone.

I'm not concerned about when something might be available because I'm in no hurry.

I'm surprised to see the CZ recommendations in the Tanfo subforum but OK point taken.

If your not worried about time then i would wait it out for the Tanfo, i hope your on the classified section alot. They go real fast or really expensive! Everyone is recommending the CZ because they want the Tanfo's for themselves!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  6. Like everyone stated the Tanfo's will be hard to find. I almost went the CZ Shadow route before i found my two Stock 2's. BeerBaron mentioned that he dropped a few hundred in parts for the trigger to feel crisp, well i think i spent about $40 and some elbow grease. But the trade off is you'll spend more on the inital purchase of the Tanfo! I do agree that the CZ triggers are very very very nice. It doest "stack up" like the tanfo's. The main spring on the CZ is much longer so it doesnt compress as much as the tanfo. But i still have not problems with my DA pull and accurate shots.

Tanfo Stock 2 Pro's (Its what i own):

    -Better sights (Adjustable rear)

    -Internal Magwell

    -Coned bull barrel

    -Full Dust Cover

    -Very beaver tail

    -They just look sweet!

    Cons:

-Shitty trigger pull from the factory

-Very small internal parts (makes it difficult to work on without the right tools)\

-Parts (there are few people that stock tanfo parts, but you may have to order from graffel in europe)

I cant speak on the shadow because i have only had the chance to mess with one but what i do know is the trigger does feel great. CZ Custom does a great job on your pistols! You an actually find these pistols.

all in all if you can find a stock 1/2/3 i would buy it, but i think the Shadow is a better route. parts are also easier to come across. Leave more tanfo's for me lol!

  7. I will say that as far as Production goes, I think you can't get any better than the Stock II or a CZ. Ultimately it's the old saying "it's not the bow, it's the archer" but they are superior firearms. I keep thinking one day I'll see 9mm unicorns just appear:-)

    Sent from my flux capacitor

i would have to agree with you! To me its a production gun on steroids. its got the weight and your only shooting 9mm with minimal recoil. i was a little hesitant about the double action trigger but after my first match i didnt even notice it. Before i found my Stock II's, i seriously considered the CZ. if you look at the top 10 production shooter, most are shooting Tanfo/CZ style pistols. And i agree that its mostly the shooter but they shoot this style of a pistol for a reason. They have been tailored for IPSC style shooting. High beaver tail, internal magwell, full steel gun, target sights!

  8. good luck man. like you said earlier, you gotta be at the right place at the right time or know someone that knows some other people to get one. I've seen them pop up on the forum here and there. just keep checking. they wont last long.
