  1. The XL firing pin is also on my list to consider, but it's my understanding that Henning's firing pin isn't Production legal. Or at least the one he lists on his website. I've seen other posts that allude to a new Production legal XL firing pin, but I don't know if that is ready for prime time or not. Maybe some of you guys know. :)

The other option obviously is to order Eric's from France, but that takes some time, unless someone is stocking these parts in the US that I don't know about.

To answer the question, hennings current XL firing pin is not production legal because as was already stated it won't work with the firing pin block. He has made announcments that he has one comming out with one that will work with the firing pin block and would then be legal for production. I'm anxious to try one of these out. If it works it should be the best possible firing pin option for stock II's.

Jim Jones of J&L Gunsmithing stocks all of Eric's parts which is nice because you don't pay insane international shipping to get them and he's ships quick so you would have it within a couple days depending on where you are located (I'm on the east coast and I get stuff from him in 2 days shipping USPS).

As for firing pin's, most of the serious USPSA shooters have multiple setup's. Ben uses a henning for practice so he can pop all of those tula primers he bought not to long ago (I just watch my friend Nick have about 80% sucess popping tula's with an Eric pin so it will set them off just not as reliably as is requires for our sport), he dryfires with a factory pin, and he uses Eric's pin in matches. All I have are federal primers so I use the Eric pin for practice and matches and a factory pin for dryfire.

Henning actually already released his production legal XL firing pin which uses the FB. Don't think it's on his site yet.
  2. It is possible to find them used. I have a few friends that have them (Stock 2 and 3). I hope to talk to Tanfoglio at Shot and get more info on the Xtreme line of pistols!

What info are you looking for? The stock 2/3 Xtreme have a more durable finish and contain the following parts:

    Xtreme hammer

    Xtreme firing pin

    Xtreme front sight

    Xtreme guide rod

    Xtreme aluminum grips

Xtreme base pads for the magasines.

They are also polished internally from the factory. I have handled them all, they are nice!

I just want to find out if they will be exporting them to the US through EAA. I hope they have the Xtreme pistols there. would be nice to handle them

  3. you bought that gun in CALI? funny cuz i heard they were on the no GO list? i tried to sell my gun to a buddy of mine in cali this summer and the local gun shop wouldnt even look at it , didnt want it in their parking lot or near the store because EAA and TANG were not legal, the only way was to put a 6 to 7 inch barrel and put a block in the mags so they could only hold 1 round and it would be legal under the thompson center fire pistol law

Mlussoro it was a single shot exemption. Which makes it perfectly legal. Torogi is correct.
  4. picked up my stock 2 yesterday! started polishing my trigger bar. between learning to disassemble, polishing and reassembling it took me a good 3.5 hours. installed new hammer spring, sear spring,TR spring, EG xl firing pin. i guess we will see how it goes on saturday at norco. gonna put my first rounds through it and shoot a match. should be fun

  5. i dont have one for .40 but im sure it works the same as my 9mm. its pretty slick setup. i wish i had a Mr.Bulletfeeder to compare it to. so far the only issue i had with it is the bullet cyclinder that holds the rounds start to get rusted on it. i just cleaned it up and added some lube.
