not! use a solid rod. easier to tune
-
like alot of others i also use a 13lbs spring. ive used as low as 11, but 13 seem to be the best for me. i shoot 130pf

Ahh.............. noticed the rear sight looked like it is raised quite a bit so was curious why the tall front.
Thanks!
Yeah they use the existing dove tail so it sit higher. A regular bomer sight would be milled in and sit lower. It's a great rear sight!
-
Why is the front sight so tall?
Dawson recommended to use .285-.300 when using their adjustable rear

Tuned by Taran himself!

Got the 90 counter sink and put it to work. did some intermediate blending, still a little more to do. The decided to do the grip overlap so I needed to narrow the magwell. So back to the mill (not pictured) to slim it up then cut the grip panel on the mill to fit. The circle in the grip is for the inlay I am putting on the grip. My buddy, as well as being LEO was a Team Guy so on one grip panel I am inlaying the UDT logo and on the panel in the pic the Team Logo. Looks cool and feels great!
thats awesome!

The guy I learned from went to the Colorado School of Trades http://www.schooloftrades.edu And there is also Yavapai that has a solid rep. http://www.yc.edu/v5content/academics/divisions/ctec/gunsmithing/
alot fo the top gunsmiths come this school. I know alot of the GA Precision Rifle smiths came from there.

Yeah that's what I got. Both are pictures.

I'm gonna run the Dawson rear adjustable.

This is what I've gathered so far. I'll have my frame next month.

Good to hear. Glockworx is gonna call me when they start it! I have my barrel and sights already. I bet it cycles fast! What weight recoil spring are u running?

Like the above said Glockworx. if your in a time crunch or budget go with lonewolf. you'll have to get it machined to fit the RMR. I've ran the Glockworx G17 slide with the RMR. it was pretty slick. everything fit perfect, but i did pay a pretty penny for it.

I ordered at first of August and it got her yesterday
thats a nice chunk of time. lucky i just picked up a G24, so will be able to shoot that. its pretty slick. just gonna have to wait for the new slide! please give us some feedback once you shoot it!
-
looks great man. i cant wait till mine starts! so what was your overall wait time. I know with shot show coming up that ill have to wait a bit.

I have taran on my gun now. They are pretty nice. Kinda like my heinies slant pro 50 better
-
i just placed an order with Dawson for the adjustable rear and fiber optic front. for the 17l or 24 you need atleast a .285-.300 sight height. hope to run them next week.
-
U lucky dog! Post pics as soon as u get it
-
I would give them a call.
-
Just got off the phone with ZEV. looks like they arent running any G24 slides till end of Dec-Jan time. Now the waiting game! Thanks for the push dskinsler83!

damn it! i have a G17 that glockworx worked over and i love. I just got my Brazo's Custom Limited and even now Im shooting my G34 more then my Brazo's. Once you posted up pics of the G24, now i want one. I feel comfortable with my glocks. They just feel right. My 2011 is awesome but damn Zev and dskinsler83 doing it right!!!! looks like ill be calling Ray Wong again!
Zev 24 shoots softer and flatter. I can get 850 fps using 3.8 gr of N320 on a Bayou 200 gr RN. That's a load a typical 2011 can't cycle. Well at least my friends Akai 5" can't out of the box.
Damn thats awesome.
