Ty gentry has been useing one for about a year now & does a shot, reload 8 & shot in about 4.5 sec's.
I don't doubt what you say is true , it appears to be a great product ,
but a video would sell alot of shell carriers like the one that Keith G.
posted for the AP custom double stack shell carriers
It might even get me excited enough to buy one.
-
does anyone know the dimensions of this shell carrier as it looks like it might be
a little big for traveling on the airlines or a suitcase.

I prefer that if its not in the match rules then it must be permisable, and not to be add libbed by an
RO's assumption and/or discretion without the match directors consent.
Consistency is the only way to insure a fair competition.

1) .22LR stage guns
2) .357 Magnum with 22lb. trigger pocket pistol stage guns
3) 9mm Mp5 stage guns
4) 12 gauge side by side stage guns
5) All stage guns not listed above
I thought for sure you would have grenade launchers at the top of the list!!

I believe the awards were done about 6:00pm last year.
Check out the nationals web site for a review of the remodeled riviera by Kim W.

sounds like it might be a decent place .

+1. i think the pro-am format, though it takes a lot more effort to set up, was incredibly new shooter friendly. this match was exactly what 3-gun needed to get new shooters like me into the sport.
also, the generosity of fellow shooters helps out a lot in terms of all the expensive race gear. i got a rifle and shotgun and race belt rig on loan from smoothdraw and wackodacko, and Dyno! gave me a crash course how to use a shotgun a few days before the match. the shooting community has always been very enthusiastic and those three folks in particular, along with a great first match experience, have gotten me hooked into 3 gun.
I hear that same thing all the time from new shooters at our club and at larger matches.
Multi-gun shooters are the most helpful and friendly people in the shooting sports !
Its almost cultish, in a good way

I would take jesse's advise , you will find that the gun will take steel down
at about 10 yards max without a choke.
The smith will most likely install thinwall chokes as there is not enough
wall thickness left when it is cut back on the gold hunter barrels and
I would recommend getting your mag extension first so the barrel can be cut flush with the mag tube
just for a better looking package.

Congrats Doug, you da man !!!!

We have used the top of bowling pins cut off in a chop saw with no
problems.
The way we set them up was on a horizontal 4X4 between two stands to simulate a plate rack
at 25 yds. they held up really well and the best part they are FREE !!!

Just curious, how many of the guns are going to be on the AM prize table?
I would guess half as many as will be on the pro table, based on match entry fees being double what the am's paid.

Where can I buy Firebird or R&R Comp for Saiga 12?
Cheers
You will have to go directly to the manufacture's plus you can ask any
questions regarding installation and or porting when you order.

Mr Voigt was kind enough to offer to recognize all divisions even without the required 10 shooters.
It would be great if USPSA would make that same offer to the smaller area matches as well.
maybe 5 or more at least, per division.
-
If a division is not "recognized", will it still be scored separately, and just not receive any awards? Or would we not even be able to shoot in that division. (thinking of shooting limited) Who else is signed up for limited so far?
It looks like this will be a open and tactical match only, unless there are many late entrys.
Not recognized means no scores, no awards, no division....
the same issue happened at the 2010 MGN in vegas, the heavy metal shooters had to go to limited.
-
-
what is the minimum you need to recognize a division ?

I have been using this product for years and it still works like new .

Travis,
Probably? I was expecting a 100% will! My feelings (if I had some) are hurt.
Either way Doug and I will be needing some of your PRT http://mgmtargets.co...&products_id=52 steel for shooters to enjoy:-)
Scott
HAHA!! I just wanted to see if you were paying attention!! You know that if you'll have us, we'll be there.
Let us know what you need for targetry and we'll get you hooked up.
Adios,

Chuck - can you post a pic of the masten pouch with and without the mag ?
-
hows it shoot and group ?
-
I would call the dillon tech line and get the problem solved in minutes.
-
Sounds amazing.
This stage alone was worth the match fee..
-
Before this match I use to not care much for prop guns in matches
But the Next Generation SBR's with CT IR lasers that were used in the dark house
were the best !
The best way to describe the Crimson trace dark house stage would be ..
"it was like you were actually in a CQB video game"
Oh, and I ran into the wall with my muzzle when I turned the corner
just like I do when playing those video games..
Great match way to go Doug and Scott
.223 to Chamfer and Deburr or not!?

I have found that you need to run the neck sizer ball back through the case neck
to remove the sharp edge left by the dillon 1200, if you don't it will shave the jacket
back on the bullet.
