  1. I'll desent. Tube and done. Some would say I have experience in shot gunning and I have never had a problem with non welded lifters. If you do, it is a must have. Bolt lighten... Needed? Nope. Oversize bolt handle? Nope. Sights? Nice but required? Nope. Buy a new m2 and must put $1000 into it??? F no! Half the field at any three gun event will be passed by a good pump gunner, who's auto loader has ALL the "must have" mods! "We" are doing a disservice to the new guys and the sport when we say got to spend to play.

I have to agree with Pat 100%

  2. Why hasn't anyone mentioned reducing the shell stop tension ?

that should be in the top three must do list

1st add a long mag tube

2nd adjust the shell stop for less resistense

    3rd bevel loading port

anything else added to this list should depend on personal preference

such as sights, trigger, lifter extension, bolt lightening, etc.

  3. You might want to look @ a hydro buffer....it is a two stage design. Been running one in my DPMS LR-308 and love it. Benny Hill did the barrel work and running one of his rolling thunder comps. Right after I did this setup, My 13yr old daughter tried to take the gun from me to hunt with. She said it shot easier than my 30-30 or my ar15 @ the time. She shoots quarter sizes groups @ 100 yds with her Remington 770 in .270.

Are you refering to the enidine gas charged buffer ?

  4. I have recently started to use Ramshot's Competition powder, which is also designed for shotgun loads.

At 3.2gr with 147gr bear creek moly bullets, it works out to 135 PF shot out of a STI edge.

I was amazed the power factor was that high, it feels way softer than tight group at the same velocity.
