  1. My rifle seems to like 23.2 gr of TAC under 69 gr. SMKs. It shoots under a minute consistently.

Just wondering what velocity are your rounds going?

    Iam guessing <2600

  2. I have and use the safariland case it fits perfectly in my 1750 pelican,

i also have a voo-doo tactical case same case but has two more outside pouches.

I checked my safariland case and found a voo-doo tactical tag sewen inside.

the only issue is the weight is 50 lbs when used inside the pelican case with a 20" rifle 21" shotgun and 2011 handgun

and a couple of rifle mags.

the quality seems to be good.

  3. Jason - If its fesible after the match, let the shooters practice on the long range targets.

we do this at the albany match.

The people who can't hit the targets appreciate the help and after they hit the targets they

    know it is not impossible.

you might try keeping the targets within 200yds for a few matches then each month

    start inching them out further.

Stick with the 100% for the stage winner it keeps the scores closer in the end.

    See you in July, Craig

  4. Jeff-

You should come out to tri-county gun club in sherwood on the 4th sunday

of the month, they hold a tactical 3-gun match with pistol caliber carbine.

But the best Multi-gun in the area is at Albany rifle and pistol gun club

it is run by robert of R&R Targets (a forum dealer) call him if you have any questions or want to come out.

  5. Got the new album Black Gives Way to Blue a while back when it first came out back in late Sept sometime.

I listened to it a few more times these past few weeks while coming and going to Thailand.

Really digging it. You can tell Layne isnt there, but its not bad. Not like when Van Halen put Gary Cherone in there...

    Glad to have Chains back.

If you can go see them live do It !

I went last Saturday to see them 2/6/10 I could not believe how good they are with

William Duvall as the lead vocalist.

It was a great show . Check out you tube for the concert footage (AIC @Oregon armory)

  6. If you have a 10/22 you want to convert, Cactus tactical in the vendors section

has the nordic kit for $159.99 best price I have found,

and then search the classified for deals on stocks, forends and grips.

I think the best part of using the 10/22 is the magazine loader made by Butler Creek

You will spend more time shooting and no more sore fingers from loading :D

you dont even have to touch the ammo!

The S&W .22 AR is very light weight and might be a better choice

but you will have to buy new mags for about $20 ea.

  7. Chris - I had an issue with a tr-21 with a loose lense. I sent it back twice to correct the problem.

They did end up sending me a new scope in the end.

But I have to say that I was satisfied with their customer service and I received several calls from Trijicon too make sure I was happy.

I would expect you will be treated the same way.

  8. Earl, it doesn't matter what the bullet weight is as long as it is on the minor PF floor(minimum), for USPSA matches, and maybe xm193 for the other matches, since there is no PF.

I do think a bolt gun with calibrated ammo is the way to go, to verify the target is set properly.

Any reason not to just use the 9mm that is used for every other steel target?

How can you duplicate the energy of a 55gr exactly, and at various distances out to 400yds with a 9mm ?

seems to me it would make more sense to use the same bullet the target is intended for.

  9. If you want to load flat base bullets just hold the bullet until it reach's the base of the die

and just go slow enough not to pinch your fingers.

I use the rt1200 on all my rifle brass, the edge is left square

but you will not find any burrs on the case neck.

This trimmer is a big time saver I would highly reccomend it.

  10. I did get to RO this match and shoot it for the first time.

Mark Lipp the director and his staff and the other RO's that arrived early were very friendly and

helpful with any questions or concerns.

The format was different with the scoring and rules but, so are the three other matches

I compete in monthly as well as nationaly, you just make sure you understand them before you start

    and take that mindset.

The stages were challenging and the prize table was very nice, even though I did not walk it

I did recieve a goodie bag from the NRA as thanks for volunteering my time.

and they had a B-B-Q lunch as well, not bad for only $35 ! wish more matches were like this!

I'd be happy to do it again! what ever it takes to promote muti-gun and getting more people out shooting.

Thanks, Chuck & Everett well done !

    I had a great time , Craig S.

  11. I tried one out this week too, first thing I noticed was the ammo length at 2.250 was difficult to load normally

the bullet tips kept hanging up on the front of the mag, but would just barely fit.

It was very tight getting the 42rd in the mag and would not strip out the first round when in the rifle

and once I down loaded to 41 the mag ran with zero problems.

and I did check to see if the finish was coming off, but I could not find any problems .

I think for me it would be great at using for a mono pod .

Seems like a well built product for a reasonable price.
