Bench done, 550 finally set up

Looks nice, good job on the set up. I need to add a light above mine, I see yours is to the side, does that clip on light provide enough lighting? -
2014 Colt 3 Man 3 Gun
jackson923 replied to 45shooter's topic in Multi-Gun, Rifle & Shotgun Match Announcements
Really wanted to shoot this but my daughters fastpitch team will be playing in a world series tournament that week from the 22nd through the 27th. Looking forward to that so best of luck to all of you. -
Ok thanks. It is really inconsistant. I hav e it set for 4.4 grn of Bullseye and sometimes it throws 2.1 3.9 3.4 and so on. I only have about 1K through it so I don't think anything needs to be replaced yet. I'll pull it aoart to check it.

I noticed that I'm throwing inconsistant powder charges all of the sudden. Not sure why as it just started and its not every round. I thought I was short stroking the handle (insert jokes here) but even with full handle pulls I'm getting short load charges. Any ideas? Sorry thay my whole description sounds perverted. George

jackson923 replied to jackson923's topic in Dillon Precision Reloading Equipment
Haven't tested rounds yet due to my range being closed for deer season. Will test them next Monday. I filed mine as well since it was not powder. -
2014 FNH USA 3 GUN CHAMPIONSHIP
jackson923 replied to sbmd's topic in Multi-Gun, Rifle & Shotgun Match Announcements
Ant if you're coming to the match let me know I've already emailed Howard to let him know I'm available to work the match. Look forward to seeing and hopfully shooting with you again. -
I looked in the FAQ and didn't see anything related to this. I noticed a small dimple on the surface of my priming rod, this produced what appeared to be light primer strikes on brand new primers. I don't think this is supposed to be there, I should have asked this before but I have already gently hand filed it. It appears to not make the marks on the primers now. Was I ok in doing this or did I screw the pooch? Thanks George

Made my payment yesterday via PayPal, knew there was a sales tax but was not bothered by the $15 and change because it will cost me more in gas just to get out of my own county. Mr. Sole thank you for all of the work that goes into running an event like this prior to triggers even being pulled. I just got off of the phone with the hotel and appreciate the leg work there as well. Looking forward to getting out of work, meeting new people and the trigger time. I'm in squad 7. George

3 Gun Nation Outlaw Matches?
jackson923 replied to Jesse Tischauser's topic in Multi-Gun, Rifle & Shotgun Match Announcements
This ^ exactly, two hits to neutralize or one "A" zone, makes the scoring faster and moves the squads through quicker. -
As someone who lost my mother to breast cancer thank you very much for this event, please thank the staff working the match for their time and efforts.

3 Gun Nation Outlaw Matches?
jackson923 replied to Jesse Tischauser's topic in Multi-Gun, Rifle & Shotgun Match Announcements
As someone who is not new to shooting but new to 3Gun I see it differently. I have read every post on every page and think that 75% are nit-picking. I did not know about 3 gun shooting until I watched an episode of 3GN. I read the book that Mr. Adams put out and learned about the "Outlaw" matches, what defined them and how they started. Watching the episode of 3GN peaked my interest and caused me to research matches that were local to me where I could get my feet wet. I shoot local $20-60 matches and love them. I will be shooting my first "major matches" in 2014, matches that are within driving distance and work constraint perameters. I understood "Outlaw" matches to be any match that did not follow the IDPA or USPSA rules or guidelines (that's how most of the "Outlaw" matches started right?). Seems like every local match adapts or disregards formal rules depending on their own situation barring safety in mind. With that being said there are a lot of people with their "panties in a bunch" over the word Outlaw, which seems to apply to the 3GN regional matchs since they are not following IDPA or USPSA. Is it that big of an issue since the term Outlaw is not copy righted or trademarked from individual matches that started in the 80's? Just wondering. P.S. I spell checked my stuff so I don't see misspelled words quoted. -
Sorry it's Bullseye powder not titegroup. Yes to the amount of powder in the hopper.
