  1. Details were sketchy on the news so who started it? The fan or the player?
  2. I have used Hornady and Winchester in 9mm and both shoot very well and are reasonably priced ( yes I know I am in Australia but they are still reasonable) David
  3. I live in Australia and knew they were importers but never knew they had a web site. Thanks for bringing the site to my attention. I now have to go and get the dribble out of my keyboard. They are amongst the most beautiful works of art I have seen. Thanks again David

    My Trojan

As a fellow trojan 5 owner I would just like to say what a nice job you have done on it. Very nice indeed! This is my baby. I added a mag well.
  5. Thanks Flexmoney for your reply it is very much appreciated. Thanks too Rad. I didnt know you frequented this forum but hey its good to hear from you as always. I contacted Mathew to get a mag well for the trojan and from what I was told it will still be a standard gun as it will fit in the box. I know IPSC shooters are great people. I visited one match in Newcastle and I asked that many questions of one poor women I thought she may have clocked me on the head to stop me talking and asking stuff. Dee ( her name ) answered all my questions, let me look at her baby (STI) and asked others for answers if she didnt know the answers herself. I had a great afternoon! We also saved a pommy from heat stroke and I think one person ( we wont mention names Kent oops) was only worried what time Beer O'Clock was. Try walking into another sport and be treated like a family member, usually you are treated like a leper. Great people shooters! Thanks again all David
  6. Thankyou for your replies. Obviously I have a lot to learn. And at my age I am wondering if it will all sink in?
  7. So in Australia I cant use an STI in IPSC? Im confused
  8. Recommended retail is $1600 but they sell for around $1450. I had a 686 and it was accurate but I stupidly sold it. I just should have kept it and got the trigger worked over. I sold it and bought a Tanfoglio in 40cal. Lost that in the buyback and purchased an STI Trojan 5. I am happy with the STI but I havent got a revolver now. Thanks for the info David
  9. S&W 686 DX International I was thinking of getting one. Has anyone got one that they can comment on and are they worth the extra money? Thanks David
  10. I have 2 brains. Ones lost and the other is out looking for it!
  11. The Rich get richer The poor get the picture The bombs never hit you when your down so low Midnight Oil
  12. If you do paint it with some thing and you are worried about the grip you can always add a non slip additive to the paint to give extra grip. You can get this in small canisters and it is used in paving paint to create a non slip surface. It sort of looks like sand but it isnt. Not expensive and a little goes a long way. Get it at any paint store. Cheers David
  13. If that is an anti war statement then they cannot express their views very well. Spelling is terrible and they quote sayings from the Survivor series. One warped puppy if you ask me. Oh buy the way if you catch them and need help shoving their computer up their you know where just drop me a line. I will be glad to help. David PS no lubrication will be used!
  14. If you want to know the postage just go to the US postal site and look it up. Sneaky taking off though. David
  15. What I hate is when you are quoted postage for an item and when it arrives the postage is nowhere near the amount you were quote. I will give an example :- I was quoted $45 US to ship an item to Australia. The item arrived and the postal cost on the sticker was just under $18US, this is a gap of $27US. Taking into account that the item was not wrapped up ( it was in its original box) and only had an address sticker placed on the outside there would have been no extra for packaging and I would have imagined that they would have posted other things at the same time as mine I think that $27US petrol money was pushing it. Yet again there is always a bright side. I purchase things from Dillon Precision on a regular basis. Postage ( indicated on the postal stamp) is normally only a couple of dollars less than quoted. I can understand this seeing they have to wrap my order and have to pay someone to do it and process my order etc. In my opinion Dillon has got it right. Thanks Dillon and Steve Chavez David
  16. I have played paint ball and I dont think I have ever had so much fun with my clothes on! Not once though did I ever think that this would be more fun with real bullets. I was just thinking this is great to get out in the open with friend and have some fun. The double standard in Australia is that while it is OK to shoot each other with paint balls and declare each other dead when hit with one it is not ok to shoot at a target that in anyway looks humanoid in a way. You cannot for example use a dummy to shoot at for any reason, the head box on a IPSC target is being seriously looked at because someone said it makes the target to human like. I would not like to shoot at a human shaped target but I also understand that in American that when training that this is the normal thing to do. I do not for one moment say that you cannot and should not. We allow graphic and violent videos and video games in this country where you can run riot and "kill" everything in site ( Vice City, Halo etc) and not once throughout the game does a disclaimer come up saying that this is not reality and that pointing a firearm at someone is dangerous, illegal and that in real life the victim is not only the person shot but thier family and friends as well. Yet play a driving game and the first thing that shows up is a disclaimer saying that the driving is not real, that you should not drive like this in public and you should wear a seat belt etc. Its a wierd wierd world. A someone has already said that one shooting by one registered owner could affect 40,000 other owners of firearms... This has alreaady happen here. One registered owner shoots some people and 70 odd thousand have to hand back calibres in excess of 38 cal, ownership is tightened, rules upon rules are bought in to make ownership harder, etc etc. The funniest thing about this is that some 50,000 "illegal" firearms have be "Bought back" by our government and 100.000 "legal" pistols have been imported to fill orders for new pistols.
