FYI
Osage County Guns has the grips on sale right now.
Also, free shipping is a plus.

I believe that it was recently posted in the BIG Xfive thread

Yup. Pull it out using a pair of needle nose pliers. It comes off easy. Squirt a little bit of oil on the side and then pull it out.
Thanks!

The tungsten grip module weight is 1.7 oz while the original X5 grip weight is 1.75 oz. both are made of steel.
X5 grip weight on left, tungsten grip module grip weight on right

My carry optics setup: original X5 slide with Romeo 1 6moa, tungsten grip module, empty mag with gray guns basepad
How do you remove the weight, just pull it out with a needle nose pliers?

Tooth and nail will have a mid barrel available shortly.
A mid barrel comp works best for shotgun. By the time the gas makes it to the muzzle, not as much there, as mid-barrel

Has anyone that has both the Legion, and Xfive done an accuracy comparison?

Just wanted to make sure I understand. The Apex competition trigger enhancement kit that has been linked above looks like it was designed for the 1.0 and Apex and Brownells say that the kit will not work in the 2.0.
So you guys have installed all of the competition kit in a 2.0 except for the striker springand it works with no issues?
Just wanted to confirm before I get started and buy the kit for my M&P Pro 2.0
https://store.apextactical.com/WebDirect/Products/Details/191838
Yes, that’s the correct kit.
you can try their striker spring
I have them in SOME M&Ps, but went back to the stock striker springs on a couple, due to light strikes.
Apex told me NOT to use their sear spring inw2.0, but, haven’t had any issues with it, so it’s staying in.

I was running SNS 147 grain out of both of my Xfives, and didn’t have any leading. I switched to “green” Bullets, because the owner gave me some to try, and they are more accurate in MY Xfives, than the SNS Bullets, and I don’t get any leading with them either.
That said, my PCCs, are a pair of Sig’s, and I will only run jhps or plated Bullets. Same goes for my “open” guns.

I want to shoot my new X5 in ESP. The biggest issue I see is the weight of the gun being 43.5oz with an IDPA limit of 43oz. Seems the options are:
1. Swap AL basepads with plastic - doubt that will gain a half ounce
2. Remove mag well - really don't want to as the gun looks good with it
3. Cut something like a third off the internal grip weight. - I see where I can't add internal weight but no rule saying removing it isn't permitted
Really looking for a discussion on option 3.
Thanks.
I think that if you just go with plastic basepads, and remove the magwell, you should make weight

Random question.
Does anyone know if the Typhoon F12 is just a rebranded VR80 without the ambi-charging handle?
If it is I would opt to start with that and then I wouldn't have to buy as much furniture to get the gun to where I need it.
Might be the other way around.
The F12 was out before the VR80

I have one with less than 50 rounds through it, but, I'm guessing you live in a different country.

That's terrible advice shooting slugs thru a shotgun can lead the bore horribly gas operated shotguns can get so carboned up that it turns it into a single shot.
Not to mention that it will be almost impossible to get apart

No, I haven’t.
When I ordered the trigger kits, I ordered the straight trigger because that’s what I run in my open & limited guns, but, now that I think about it, they are all the shortest inserts SV makes
-
Thanks for the information.
I’m hoping that at some point they offer a slightly smaller version.
I can barely reach the trigger on my Xfives

It's absolutely worth it. If you wait I'm sure you'll see sales around $250-275 but it really is well worth the cost if you already have a P320.
Is the new grip, the same size as the original Xfive grip?

Pardon my ignorance, what direction to turn?
Lefty loosely-righty tighty

Trigger bar spring is the only thing I have had break after 20k rounds. But it was the aftermarket Gray Guns spring and had been removed and reassembled several times.
In 20k rounds, have you noticed any difference in accuracy?
My past experiences with plastic guns has been that accuracy got worse, with the more I shot them. I only have about 1K on my "backup" and maybe 2-3k on my primary, and with loads they prefer, still group about an inch, at 25 yards.
I've never shot an all metal gun enough to lose accuracy, with the exception of one AR15 that lost the first 6" of it's rifling.

To date my MK12/VR80 starts to act up. Intermittent misfeeds across all 10 rnd mags. 1 in about 75 birdshot. Shell snags on right side of chamber beside extractor cavity. Thinking of dehorning and buffing that part. Any other thing to consider? Cannot and wont shoot this in big matches in such unreliable state.
I wouldn’t accept that reliability either.
you could break the edge of the barrel, or you could send it in for warranty. It’s possible that the magazine isn’t centered with the barrel

Currently have 2 X5's, one I have kept with sights to teach classes where most students are using s, the other set up for CO with a Vortex on a Springer mount. Looking to set up the top end with an optic as a back up gun.
Before I jump into the pool and just set it up exactly as my current CO gun, the Romeo3 looks interesting, with its large field of view, but appears to be very expensive from Sig (as well as out of stock).
Anyone actually used one?
Thoughts?
Availability and cost elsewhere?
Thanks!!!
I originally had a Romeo 3, on one Xfive, and a Romeo 1, on the other. Both had 3 MOA dots. I liked the larger window on the Romeo 3, but I’m a little color blind, and had problems seeing the dots on both optics. I tried a Romeo 1, with a 6 MOA dot, and it’s about the brightest dot I’ve ever seen, so now I have them on both of my Xfives. I bought both through Planet Optics.

I run 3.3 grains of Sport Pistol, behind SNS 147 grain flat points @1.142”, for bigger matches because I want plenty of cushion at the chronograph, but, I know that my velocities weren’t as high as yours. I chronoed both Sig Xfives, and M&P Pro, with Apex, gunsmith fit barrel. All 3 are 5”.

Here's some load data, but it seems pretty far off base from what's been posted here before... any ideas on why the delta? I fired 10 shots each string, indoors, 11' away.

Did you maybe have them loaded really short?
That would explain higher velocity

I remember going to a Lake of the Ozarks match, several years ago, with a M2 Benelli that only had the factory, double beads on it.
I knew exactly where it shot, with slugs, out to 100 yards, but, they had an “iron maiden” target at like 175 yards. Imagine my surprise when I just held high, and hit it on the first shot!

Interesting
It might make weight for IDPA.
I don’t remember if USPSA requires a certain number sold, to be legal for carry optics, like they do for production?
