The seller now has a new auction for 10,000 CCI's
https://www.gunbroker.com/item/890656024
Ginex, S&B and CCI's are still available in Canada. You might have to wait a week or month but they show up. Federal SPP's are long gone but LPP's are showing up.
Given the border restrictions increasing you won't be seeing any of us heading down south with primers anytime soon....
Has me thinking more and more about selling the 7k I have. $2500 currently with 3+ days left.

Crazy what people will pay!
I'm sitting on roughly 8k CCI small pistol primers. At the prices people are willing to pay for them, maybe I should sell them to pay for my vacation or a new gun!

I have not, but I don't carry a BUG legal gun so it is not really what I am talking about. What i would like to see is people show up with their actual carry guns and shoot. Whether it is a j frame, shield, G19, p 365, etc., dots vs irons, major vs minor, but it would have to be peoples ACTUAL main carry gun, in their ACTUAL daily clothes, with their ACTUAL main daily carry rig. Not their, "I carried my SVI limited gun once as a joke" type stuff, but their actual carry gun. I know something like this would have to be run on the honors system and their would be a douche or 2 that would cheat, that is why just a match or 2 here and their would probably be better than trying to dedicate a whole sport to it, plus no probably one would want to do it more than every once in a while anyway
I see your point. Let me be a little more clear. BUG matches or outlaw matches require you to shoot your carry gear/gun.

How do you know one shot that hit a plate didn't ricochet and knock down another plate on the star?
You can't calibrate plates, steel must fall to score.
What rule says you have to fire another shot?
No rule in the Rulebook. Just what the MD states on stages that have issues with plates. If the plate or star can't be fixed, no sense (in local matches) giving reshoots to every other shooter.

Wouldn't it be awesome if there was a sport where people used there ACTUAL carry gear. I have done it a time or two in USPSA and wish there was a place to do it against other people using their actual carry gear. Maybe not even a whole sport, maybe just a match or 2 that was carry gear oriented
Ever been to a IDPA BUG match? I've been to a couple years ago. It was all carry gear!

At matches, it's almost impossible to get back all of your original cases without missing some, losing some and getting others mixed in. I pick up what I can. Check them for steel cases, then I load them until I feel an issue with the primer (Yes. I've loaded enough to know what it should feel like) or the cases split. I will also give the case and look over. If anything looks strange or I have a bad feeling, I just dump the case.
-
At all the level one matches that use stars or plate racks that I've been to...they will usually tell you if if falls, just put a round down range and count it.

Hard no on the TACCOM....short stroked, unless you are using the TACCOM ESSB, I suspect that short stroking the JP will be the same answer.....but not sure.
On the TACCOM, the short stroke pad is included and is optional to install
Tim,
I have a FM lower and exclusively use your Taccom Short stroke kit. My bolt holds open on my lower. But I use 45rd mags and if my bolt holds open, it's not been a good stage.

Archery. Compound bows to be exact. It's what I started doing about 2 years ago. Unlike guns, you can shoot them in the backyard without having the cops show up.
I'm sitting on 8k primers, but I'm doing just that sitting on them. I've been shooting in the backyard and doing some 3d matches.
You want a workout? Go pull a 60-70 lb bow for 40-50 shots at 3d matches.

Reloading isn't for everyone. Depending on what you shoot, how much you shoot, it may or may not save you money. I like reloading so I can cater the load to the gun. Before the apocalypse, reloading didn't really save you that much. Now, if you reload, trying to find components is nearly impossible.
If you decide to go down that rabbit hole, the internet is your friend. Get a good reloading book and start with a full volume powder. Red or blue, it's up to you. I prefer Dillon (blue) but that's my preference. Good luck on your journey.

I have both the polymer and the aluminum C-more. The only difference is the weight. For steel challenge, I would do a 12moa or 16 moa dot. Click or switch? Honestly, whatever is cheaper. You can adjust either one to your liking.
Learn the shot pattern on the dot for steel challenge. Meaning how much of the dot and where it is on the plate to hit the plate. Not all of the dot needs to cover the plate for the shot to hit the plate.

I carry two or three CMMG firing pins and springs. I've bent and broken more springs than I have firing pins. With that said, I change them when they break or when I clean them and I notice the actual firing pin mushrooming. I change both the spring and the pin at the same time. Also, the CMMG firing pins work well with both the Taccom and PSA bots.

Interesting. I've never broken one of those. I'll have to keep that in mind if one ever breaks.

I'm trying to close in on GM before the inevitable peak time revisions in 2021.
I don't have access to a range that has stages already setup. I do have dryfire banners.
Speed Option is one stage that seems consistently across my divisions to be one that I can improve. I have the flat open space in my yard to setup stages. I am contemplating a trip to home depot to retrieve wood & pvc to make a full size stage to dryfire practice for the next 2 weeks. I am focused on PCCO and RFRO neither of which has recoil considerations.
I believe @stick might have used this approach beyond the banners.
worthwhile ?
I only ever used the banners. But I used them outside.

Link the news article or news release. I can't find it.

Do you really need a charge master to do pistol loads? Depending on the powder, the normal variation is .01gr on my Dillon. Are you doing some sort of ultra precise pistol competition? Even if your developing loads, the charge master is not needed. 22 seconds to dispense one load is ridiculous for USPSA/IDPA loads.

Check your local State Gun Forums, the reloading ad section. In Ore and Wa, primers are being sold and traded everyday.
Yeah. and they should be arrested for price gouging. The asking prices for primers are Ludacris.

I also started with a mini on my 650. I really liked the ease of use. Turning the magazine after each stack of bullets gets old after a while. Then...I got the MBF and life was good. If you like the mini, then you'll love the MBF.
-
This is exactly why I use a Cam-lock bullet puller. Especially for picked up or loaded rounds that might have a primer strike.
-
A couple of things. Learn the terminology and watch youtube videos for the machine you are purchasing. Being new, make sure you use a high volume powder (powder that fills the case) and go very slow and ensure you don't double charge a case.
-
I was just looking at Everglades Ammo. They had 147gr FMJ in stock in their 250 packs. They have the majority of their bullets out of stock, but they do have some available.
-
Titegroup meters extremely well and it's a low volume powder, but it's dirty! It's all I use for 9mm.

Stupid question time, how wide is the 650 with a Mr Bulletfeeder on it? More accurately how wide is the case feeder and bullet feeder? I am building a new loading bench to mount two 650s on and am trying to figure out how close I can put them. I want to make sure I have room between them so the Mr Bulletfeeder fits with out touching.
Straight across from MBF to casefeeder is roughly 19" Measuring from the MBF to the deepest part of the casefeeder is roughly 21" Sorry, I was doing it one handed.
Primer issue is getting scary~

Do you know me? First off, I don't whine. I'll happily just sit on them until I need them.
