  1. All done. I am very pleased with the final product. 3\16 thick laser cut steel, rock solid, beautiful black powdercoat. Has an optional arm that supports the bullet feeder as well. I am working on a top plate for it that will be pre-drilled & tapped for the common presses out there. Dillons,RCBS, Etc. I welcome any feedback or suggestions.
  2. Pretty sure it is the shellplate. I had the SAME problem. Got a replacement shellplate, issue is solved.
  3. Thank you for the compliment. Feedback has been great on these and helps to assure me that I am on the right track. Here is a teaser prototype photo of the Ultramount during its testing phase. A few small modifications, increased to 3\16 steel and currently at the laser shop. Then off to powdercoat. It is pretty sweet! 8-)
  4. Me too. With the lock washer in place, i discovered the handle would eventually spin after a very short reloading stint so i took it out. The stock handle didnt have one, nor was there any slippage with it so i figured this one wouldn't either. 5K rounds later its still tight! Now if i could only keep the roller handle from backing out... Strange. Try a couple drops of loc-tite, and if that doesn't work, I will send you a new one.
  5. Just for fun. I give you….my hitch cover. I am sure most people out on the road will have no idea what it is, but the cool one’s will! I am thinking it needs some .22 splatter to finish it off right.
  6. Good to hear you got it locked up. I tried a new cleaner\stripper to prep the rods for coating and it worked great, however, it seemed to draw in some moisture and promoted tiny rust spots inside the valley's of the threads, so I thought I would just put a few drops of oil on each one when I installed the nut to keep that from happening......Then I started to get slipping questions......oops. Seemed like a good idea at the time. Thru some testing tho, I have noticed that it seems to lock up better without the lockwasher. Strange, but true.....
  7. Very cool. always great to get feedback! Thanks for the compliments.
  8. Noob! I use liquid nitroglycerin. Its almost invisible. Actually, the bin access angle is pretty comfy. I cant get much more of a straighter angle due to the case feeder tongue sticking out so far. You can try one if ya like. (If I can ever free up enough time to get to a match,I will bring a set with me.) I usually grab 5-8 bullets from the bin at a time.
  9. In looking into your request, the factory Hornady bin bracket could be duplicated to hold a 2nd tray, but the cost to manufacture that busy lil bracket (Especially the one for the casefeeder)would probably outweigh the demand. However, not being the type to let a request go unanswered, please have a look below. By modifying the pivot point bracket on the double bullet tray system, you can now flip the bracket upside down and drop the bullet tray all the way down. The end result is the bottom of the bullet tray can be swung over the finished cartridge tray. It doesn't interfere with output and when the output bin is full, just swing the bullet tray away or slide it out from under the bullet tray. Thoughts? Clears output tray height by 3\4" Swings out of the way. Stows out of the way.
  10. Yup, good stuff. The bushing set up is sweet.
  11. Oh yea, I should add that I have purchased a few blue presses lately. (I like all colors of cool-aid) One of em thru BrianE, great transaction.

  14. I am in Eugene. I shoot at Issak Walton range mostly. Plinking in the toolies occasionally.
  15. I do about the same thing. 100 to 150 cases. What caliber are you loading? .40 with small pistol plate maybe?
  16. Long time lurker here Aka: Dan As I worked my way into becoming better at reloading, I have spent hours lurking in the pages of this forum. I ended up going with a Hornady LNL set-up and have made a few modifications to it. So far, I am pretty happy with the press and use it weekly due to shooting IDPA and Speed steel. Thanks to all for the great topics that brought me here. Dan
