  1. Looking forward to it very much! Thank you for all you do, its very much appreciated!
  2. I had a nice visit with Mike and he helped direct me in the direction I want to go. Going to go with the Oracle because my gunsmith has one for sell and he has been working for free for me the last 6 years. We believe the 16 will be just right for my size. Will be adding a lightened carrier and adjustable gas. Hopefully the factory barrel will perform good enough for He-Man. If not more changes. Positively going to be shooting in irons probably with a Vortex 2 moa dot .
  3. I'm planning on shooting Heavy Metal this spring. I was wondering if a DPMS Oracle 16 with a new hand guard, trigger, and nice scope being the only modifications is an OK starting platform? Thanks Maize
  4. Had my first all offhand practice today 8inch paper plates at 65 and 53 yards. Shot them as Bryan suggested except I ran 8 yards and picked the rifle up off the ground each time. Still learning what is my best stance and where I need my hand on the hand guard.I also seemed to aim low and hit lower. The Vortex sure got heavy after a hour and a half. Will be doing a lot more of this this winter.
  5. I could do that. I won't get to shoot it again for a couple of weeks. But the rifle has always been nice and now it shoots better. I shot a few rounds in Dads new Stretch 16 set up the same and my rifle was much flatter
  6. It's the steel LMOS . I think I understand what's happening now. We were hoping not to change more then the spring or powder volume
  7. Thanks Toothandnail My group were 5 times that big but I was shooting off a metal ladder laying on it's side on top of a pile of tumbleweeds at 360 yards
  8. I use the 55 grain Hornady bullet. We had not considered going up
  9. My rifle load in 25.0 H335. Long hits hits were super I was practicing 15 yard doubles with wolf and the cases fell at 3 o'cock.
  10. Sorry everyone looks like I made a double post. Please direct any suggestions to the above post
  11. I went out shooting this evening after installing a JP light carrier and silent recoil buffer, left just like they sent it. My rifle now sends the cases out in front of me, to what I believe is called 1 o'clock. I'm shooting a Nordic 18 with a carbon arms fixed gas block. Any suggestions? Is this OK or should something be changed?

  15. I'm with Tony. I use live Wal-Mart Winchester rounds in the backyard. No chamber very simple. They don't chamber well anyway.
  16. A huge thanks to Generation III Gun, Inc. I recieved my scholarship yesterday. The support that this organization has given means a lot to my training, equipment, and match fees. For those of you that don't know, Generation III Gun Inc. returns, in the form of a scholarship, match fees to junior shooters after they shoot a major 3 gun match. Generation III Gun is a great program, for a great cause!
