  1. My Zeiss 1.1-8x30 with ASV LR is excellent but the #60 reticle could be more tactical. Lähetetty minun D5503 laitteesta Tapatalkilla
  2. Received my 1-6X Strike Eagle a few weeks back and mounted in on top of my 10/22 minirifle. Have been shoting it for a while and it is a very good scope for IPSC-type fast shooting. Even the reticle is ok for IPSC Mini target widely used in Mini-rifle competitions. Of course people used to different reticles may hate it. They must then buy something else. Actually I bought my scope from somebody who did not get along with the reticle at all. I do not understand why people want to compare this Strike Eagle to Vortex Razor HD II 1-6X24 like they were supposedly somehow close to each other. They are totally different beasts. Strike Eagle costs 300 USD and Razor HD II costs somewehre 1200-1400 USD. There are good reasons why the latter one is a better scope. I did not want to pay 1400 USD for scope that will be mounted on top of a 500 USD plinking rifle. So each scope has it´s place.
  3. If Strike Eagle is too good then it will decrease the sales of Razor HD II. If you calculate that they need to sell 4 Strike Eagles to get the same profit as from one Razor HD II it becomes clear than doublimg Strike Eagle sales is nowhere near enough to cover any decreased sales of Razor HD II. I own a HD II and will buy Strike Eagle dor my IPSC mini rifle if it is any good.
  4. My plan is to get the cheaper Vortex for my 22lr IPSC Mini Rifle. Razor HD II 1-6x24 is excellent but can not bring myself to buy another 1500 euro scope for a 400 euro 22lr plinker
  5. BRT-I reticle is sold in Finland. Swedish customers must ask for it a bit louder as it is sold in EU no problem. If the Swedish importer does not want to import it I can connect with resellers in Finland who have on on the shelf.
  6. Why don't you open the pins holding lower and upper together ? This way you could separate lower and upper. You should use a upper receiver clamp to prevent destroying it. If you just use brute force on then free float tube you might bend and destroy the upper.
  7. The custom steel bcg is 6oz empty without bolt, firing pin, cam pin and cotter pin. Bolt etc. will add some weight to the bcg. Will have to experiment with alumium buffer weights and see what happens. Nylon is probably too light to matter at all as a buffer weight.
  8. I have a 20" LW SS barrel with an adjustable UP gas block with rifle gas system. The BCG is lightened to 6 oz.The lower has a milspec carbine buffer tube. Right now I use a regular 3.0 oz carbine buffer. It works but I have been thinking about lightnening the buffer even more. I do not believe in empty buffers and want to have either aluminium or nylon buffers to retain the "dead blow hammer" effect. I think I would like to keep one steel weight in the buffer but replace the two othere buffer weights with either aluminium or nylon. Does this make any sense or should all the buffer weights all be of the same material ? If I use different buffer weight materials then in what sequence should they be in the buffer ? I think I would like to keep the steel weight up front and the lighter ones behind it. Any experience on ligthening a carbine buffer with rifle lenght gas system and a lightned BCG ? Rifle is stricly a competition rifle so it needs to be reliable but it will be maintained well.
  9. Hornady OneShot is meant for pistol brass. I got a 223 case stuck in the FL die with OneShot. For some strange reason OneShot worked ok when full length sizing 338 Lapua brass. Anyway use Dillon brass lube and you will not have problems with brass jamming in the dies.
  10. Whatabout inhaling the Mobil 1 fumes ? Sure the gun runs well but whatabout the person operating it ? Skin contact might also cause various problems. I do not know what the deal really is but I would not inhale engine oil smoke voluntarely
