Only seen the tall in person Alamo- Thanks for the input. Nice choice of rifle, really want one to use for 3-gun. Tom D - Good question, what is everyone getting out of theirs? Thanks, Chris
  7. Question - Looking to purchase one for use on a utility/ truck AR. It will not be co-witness due to use of flip-ups. Is the low-mount too low or just about right on a flat top AR? Only have see the tall one in stores and rather not order the short one online and then have to order the tall mount. If anyone has one and used a different mount that the one that came with it that worked alot better, please post it up. Thanks for the assist, Chris

  9. I use the same issue but use a lighter spring (think #12 w/ SSS tungstan rod) and no slide cuts. I have never had that issue before.

  13. Ian - would a flat top FSP work or I would have to go with a A frame? Thanks for all the information. I am newer to AR's and asking questions prior to dropping funds on ordering Thanks, Chris
  14. Mwin - I bought it at a gun show, non-local store. Havent seen them at any of the stores this year though. It is more me wanting to switch to that foregrip on this firearm than switching because there was a issue at last match, YHM makes great equipment and I will be keeping this around to put on a different AR. I did email YHM about getting the missing set screws for the foregrip. Thanks for the help, Chris
  15. The whole forearm turns but the gas tube does not move.
  16. Yes it spun and from the looks the anti rotation screws may not of been installed or it may not of been torqued correctly. (I do not see set screws in the slots they should be in.) It happen to me in a match with I turned it in the heat of action during the 1st stage I shot. The tube that connects to the gas block looks to be 8.5 inches from upper receiver Thank you for the assistance
  17. Yes, i was wanting to put the smooth MOE hand guard on it for a utility rifle. I have been using it to get me into 3 gun but will be upgrading to a Stag 3G to compete with. Thank you for the information!
  18. This was stock on it: http://yhm.net/index.php?main_page=product_info&cPath=2_4_46&products_id=83
  19. I bought a spikes AR that a local store built. Works great, no ftf, etc. Only issue is the rail system. It rotated on me at a match and since I was running flip up irons, my sights were off. Looking to put a mag pul MOE handguard, rifle length. The current gas block looks around 10 inchs from upper, is this rifle lenth or mid length? Since it has a low profile gas block on it the MOE handguard should fit right over it correct? Any recommendations for front sight tower with a rail top? Going to put a dot sight and have the flip ups for back up. Thanks for any and all input. Chris
