Quick follow up... Beveled the pin, didn't resolve the problem.. Had a spare pin from a set of .45 dies so installed it in the .40 die.. The new pin, which is the same diameter as the old, seems much better but I'm still experiencing the same problem... Almost every case that retains the old primer is a speer nickel case, and unfortunately I have a lot of 'em.. The pins are around .072 in diameter, guess I could take the diameter down a few thousandths to see if that would help. Need to call Dillon and get a few extra pins !

My resizing/decapping die is not decapping all the time... Maybe 5 cases out of a hundered won't pop the primer out.. I took the die apart, cleaned and inspected... The decapping pin is tight in the collet and appears undamaged.. I have the die screwed down to touch the shellplate then back off .001, or a tiny bit, lol.. Any ideas for a remedy ?? Appreciate any comments

With little or no reduction in felt recoil are they worth considering ??? I don't seem to have a problem stabbing the magazine into the pistol as is ..

Right now I'm shooting a Glock 22 in limited.. Actually just getting my feet wet having shot only 2 matches.. My question is regarding the attachment of the various magwells.. Since most are held by a single screw to the plug I have concerns that the front of the magwell has no connection to the front of the grip frame... Does perceptible movement develop over time with these things? Do they move enough to pinch the little finger during recoil ??? My main interest would be in the extra weight these provide hoping to reduce felt recoil of major loads.. Seems like weight on the front end rather than at the bottom of the grip would be more effective for recoil reduction. Or at least in reducing muzzle flip.. So, do the heavy magwells help reduce felt recoil ?? Thanks for any comments, they help a new guy !

I'm in the market for an Edge (sti).... What's the preferred finish here?? Opinions ?

A few months back I got a 35mos with the idea of mounting a Cmore on it.. No go.. Tried both a RTS and an STS, they weren't even close to fitting the called for adapter plate.. Gave up on the idea. No help from either company.. So now I'm again thinking about this.. Are any of you running any of these type of sights successfully ??

In an earlier thread I asked about using an Edge in Limited division.. Several guys mentioned that I should use a pistol with a full length dust cover, etc.. Edge "like'' pistols.. My question here is, are there other options out there for this type of pistol that are similar to the edge or perhaps better without going the full custom route.. I have no problem with the customs other than the time involved ---- and I'm sure some are a bit pricy, lol... thanks much !

I used to shoot benchrest and have a good number of small rifle primbers... Will a 1911/2011 in .40 hit those rifle primers hard enough ??

I'm a new USPSA shooter having only shot two matches with a Glock 22.. I think I'd like to find a home in the Limited class but would probably enjoy shooting single stack from time to time.. At any rate, I'm looking at the STI Eagle and Edge to use in Limited class.. Which of these two has the larger following and why? I am wondering if the extra 5 or so ounces of the Edge is a help or if it just slows the shooter down in making transitions... Which caliber, 9 major or .40 ?? Sure appreciate any help and advice..

I think the top of the hood or hood depth might render this measurement inconclusive or irrelevant..
