  1. FYI - Here are my chrono numbers for 147g loads:
  2. I just did my 686SSR hammer. Here are the before & after weight stats: stock hammer: 32 grams after stage 1 hammer bob: 20 grams after stage 2 & 3 grinding: 16 grams So we have a 50% weight reduction for the completed hammer. Used 1 Dremel cutoff wheel, a bench grinder for rough grinding, carbide Dremel grinding bit for the small areas, and 220 grit on a cheapo Harbor Freight 1" belt sander worked wonders on the final finish.
  3. Talon Grips rock. I use them on my Glock 34 ... best $10 I ever spent. (Except for that $10 I spent in Tijuana) Big help down here in Florida where it's always 90 degrees with 90% humidity.
  4. I just tried spinning the cylinder while closing on my GP100 and 686 SSR, and it does spin beyond the 1st cylinder catch on both. FWIW, I never spin the cylinder while closing, and I've watched a lot of videos of highly experienced shooters and I've never seen anyone "spin while closing".
  5. Training for SSR with a GP100 and have a new S&W 686 SSR being serviced at S&W. I can't believe the amount of quality info and friendly people on this forum.
