Picked up a really nice Para 14-45 Lda stainless made in Canada. Spent casing envelope states model T1445S , dated March 2001. Serial number DA67XX.

Picked up at estate auction was told it was in safe of 80yr old fellow. Never been holstered. Hard to believe but by the looks of it, might be true...

Was told it is a limited but not stamped limited. 1st round is like da pull but afterwards it's much lighter as a sa lighter pull..

    Thanks for any help.

Is it one one of these?

I spent 5 minutes engraving my SBR’d lower with a Dremel. May not look the best but I’d guess that no one at the range has ever even noticed.

You engraved all of the required NFA info, to the required depth & size with a Dremel?  Kudos, you must have a very steady hand.  I've never heard of anyone doing that.  Show a picture of your work.

Want to buy an Ultrasonic cleaner for pistol and MPX parts.  I know a lot of folks use the Harbor Freight unit.  What size in liters do you guys think is the best for gun cleaning work?  I know bigger is always better (Tim Allen) but I suppose there would be downsides to too large a unit in terms of wasted cleaning fluid etc.  Any specific brands or models that you recommend?  Thanks.

For "pistol and MPX parts" the small Harbor Freight unit will suffice.  Don't forgot about storage space.  A larger or a rifle size unit takes up a lot more space on your workbench or storage shelf.

Folks, looking for a company that makes aftermarket parts for the JR Carbine. Specifically Looking for a over size enhanced mag release

    thanks Warren

I don't own a JR, but the pictures look like they use a regular AR15 mag release on the left side of the receiver.  If that's the case, any oversized AR15 mag release would work.  The picture posted above by UFO looks like a XMR 2 AR15 extended mag release by Odin Works seen here:  https://www.odinworks.com/XMR_s/1862.htm

Was not able to get a real close look... I do not believe it is the one in the link as it folded up when not being used.... unfolded it gave a very big charging handle to grip.  Thanks for the link BTW... I do not do PCC but a female friend is going that route and has some trouble with the traditional AR t handle and her strength limits

Rick - I didn't see it at the match but JP makes a folding side charger.  Check out these links:

Here is an update on my kitty.

About 5 months and 5k rounds later,  you can clearly see something looks different with the tron. About 2 months ago, I competed in the Tropang Vegas Presidents Cup. Awesome match, but every round kept giving me malfunctions.

Double and triple feeds! I got fed up and drove down the street to New Frontier Armory where I bought a 9mm glock lower. I had the gunsmith swap out the parts and moved it over.

it has ran reliable since then. I contacted Limcat and informed them about this. They sent me 2 tuned colt pcc mags. I want to give it another chance but I there are too many pros with glock mags.

overall, I really regret buying this overpriced pcc. I was doing well with the mbx and stalled with tron. Lesson learned!

Do the "tuned" mags look any different?  Post a pic of the "tuned" feed lips if you have time.

I have been running a no gmr15 for a year or so. I replaced the original heavy barrel for the lightweight competition barrel and it made a gigantic difference in the handling of a gun. Hotshot centech through it from the get-go and never had one problem. I have shot other low velocity rounds through it with the same result, no problem. The JP has turned me away from my nice open pistols. The JP is a blast to shoot.

When you say "lightweight competition barrel", are you referring to the 9mm Ultralight Shrouded Barrel?

    JP 9mm barrels:

    JPSM9-5.5UL10    9mm Ultralight Shrouded Barrel 5.5" length (16" OAL) 1:10 twist    $399.00 (15.5 oz)
    JPSM9-10.5L10    10.5" length ● 1:10 twist ● light contour    $199.00                                            (16.6 oz)
    JPSM9-14.5L10    14.5" length ● 1:10 twist ● light contour    $199.00                                            (22.4 oz)
    JPSM9-16L10    16" length ● 1:10 twist ● light contour    $199.00                                                   (24.7 oz)

    Hey guys,

I recently had my first IPSC revolver match and loved it, I have been shooting standard here in Canada for a couple years now and wanted to make the switch as there arnt many wheel gunners around.  Aside from forgetting how to shoot when the old timer beeps, I thought I did quite well.  But my faults of D zone hits and Mike's were all low and left. (Right handed shooter).  So my question is regarding grip technique.  I have found that if engage the palm of my weak hand close to the back of the grip that the shots down stray as low.  Am I on the right path or is this a simple trigger jerk issue?

    Thanks!

Check out this video of Jerry demonstrating "How to Shoot a Revolver".  It's definitely worth 30 minutes of your time.

Serious question, have you ever had to change the battery?? I was under the impression that the solar cell would extend the life of the battery and this wouldn't have to be done all that often.

I don't use solar mode because it's not bright enough for matches in the Florida sun.  I keep it in manual mode so I can control the brightness level.  I've had the sight less than a year so I haven't had to change the battery.  Obviously batteries do fail and if I have to change it during a match, it's going to suck.

Got a Holosun 503GU Elite (green circle dot) and loved it on my Ruger PCC for steel challenge. Then brought it to a rifle/PCC match, USPSA like stages with longer shots out to 50-75-135 yards for PCC and up to 350 for AR-15s. Was going great on a stage, three shots three hits at 115-135 yards and was running over to the rest of the stage where there were typical USPSA barriers and targets from 5 yards to 30 yards when the green dot went blank. Unfortunately the base was solid, so I couldn’t see the irons. Total disaster. Went over to the berm safety area with a new battery, thinking mine was dead, when it shouldn’t be since the whole set up was still pretty new. Lo and behold the circle dot was there but it was on the dimmest setting. Cranked it back up and finished the remaining two stages.  What happened? The stage was filmed and my hands never went anywhere near the brightness controls. The PCC didn’t get banged into anything either. The darn thing just arbitrarily went dim. A week or two later went ahead and moved my MRO over to the PCC and put the Holosun on an AR I rarely use. Very disappointed. Haven’t shot the MRO yet, but will miss the Holosun. The circle was great for CQB phases and the center dot was great for the long range stuff.

I had the same problem with my Holosun 507C.  I sent it back for repair/replacement, and haven't had any further issues.

  12. I use a 507 on different pistols and a revolver and I think the window is fine.  See the sizes below.  The only thing I don't like about the 507 is it has to be removed to change the battery.

The 507's 32 MOA ring is perfect for steel targets while other sights with larger 65 MOA rings are too big since the ring is larger than the steel target.  If you prefer a smaller dot you can just use the 2 MOA dot.  You do have 3 reticle choices with the 507.

I experimented with blowback/AR style PCC's and the Sig MPX gas piston system.  My objective was to settle on a Steel Challenge PCC.  Hands down (for me), the MPX had a much softer recoil impulse and was faster for me transitioning from target to target.  I know own 2 Gen 2 MPX's and 1 MPX PCC competition model.  They run any factory ammo and the 100 gr. Atlanta Arms Steel Challenge ammo.  With Hyperfire Eclipse 1-3/4 lb trigger these guns are fast.  My gas ports have NOT been enlarged.  Standard factory recoil springs.

Since PF is not an issue, I wanted the softest shooting gun that would run lighter loads with 100% reliability.

I currently shoot M class PCC Steel Challenge and love my Sig's.

How often are you cleaning your gas valve & tappet on the MPX?
