  1. YEAH YEAH-YEAH YEAH.....HEY KEVIN IT'S A WONDERFULL THING!!
  2. L9X25 Thanks for the information, I just put in an order for two SVI .40's, glad to here that my money was well spent. I hope that some day I can shoot a sub 1" group at 50yds. that would be a feat, that I'll look forward too. Thanks!!
  3. I am looking at buying two limited guns either STI Edge or SVI, since I live in California the Edge looks like a moot point, since the Edge isn't sold in Cali anymore. But anyway, the guns seem similar why is there such a price differance, Is the SVI that much of a better gun or are they just getting all the money for them? There must be a reason or SVI couldn't stay in business, or could it. Please just the facts not personal opinion. Is one better then the other, if so why? Thank You, Adam
  4. Does anyone know where you can still buy Ca. S_I guns new? Looking to buy 2 limited guns Thanks
  5. Just a good day at the field, you have a good conversation with a couple of people, you shoot well, learn a thing or two, someone shows you their new blaster, and people wave when you leave. Just a good day... we love this sport!
  6. dbGlock 35, See the post I started in "Beginner General" "The stupid Question" we have been beating this issue up for a while.
  7. This is the email that John sent me when I asked him:
  8. Hi DBChaffin, that's very coinsidental the fact that the only other gun that I have to shoot is a Sig P220 with the long ten rnd. mags. I don't see the problem the rules clearly state "no magazine length restrictions" just capacity, but i'll take your advice and email Amedon an see what he has to say.
  9. Checked to see if my Para will fit in the "BOX" with the 140mm mags, and it will. The mags don't have "weighted attachments" the mags are one piece just a small plastic base plate, and it is less then 2oz. over stock weight. Sounds like it should fly! I'm not trying to bend the rules, just save money buy useing mags that I already have, and don't break easy when droped.
  10. The rules state in production that there is no length limit to the magazines, only that they can have ten rnds. I can purchase 140 mm STI Para mags that work in my gun and don't fall to pieces like the stock mags when they hit the ground. I have had no luck in finding good 10 rnd. mags for my Para 16 40 LDA. Could I use the 140's and load them to 10 rnds. and use them in Production class. This would also let me shoot L10 if I wanted.
  11. Just bought a Para 16 40 LDA, love the gun. The two 10 rnd. mags that came with it work fine, but tne 4 pro mags I purchased all jam up while feeding. Anyone ever had them work for them, or is there a way to make them work.
  12. Call Bullseye in San Rafael (415-453-7465), we shoot there alot and do a lot of rapid fire. The people who run it are kool if you are safe, you can't draw a holstered gun but you can rapid fire.
  13. BerKim, Stage 4 was the one I had a bunch of fun on, the swingers and the popup thingy. stage 5 killed me I spent to much time on the steels, total BF, ran out of ammo didn't engauge the last target. Sucks for me, but I'll have you know I ordered Brian's book as soon as I woke up Monday morning. Things will get better. All I can say is I sure am glad my son wasn't there to watch, he'd still be givin me shit!
  14. Just went to my first match Sunday...it sucked, or should i say I sucked. Very depressing, I thought I knew how to shoot...I was wrong, thought I knew how to reload...I was wrong, thought I knew something...I was wrong. I went home so devistated that I thought I would never shoot a gun again. I guess I'll practice some more and try it again. I knew I was not going to do well going in to my first match, but I thought I wouldn't be such a "wally" I felt like a fool. Man what a bummer, I was looking forward to a good day, didn't have any gun problems, they were just plain brain farts all day. Although one stage was a blast the others overshadowed it, thank goodness I had one fun stage... funny thing is it was the stage I feared the most, turned out to be the only one I didn't screw up like and ass! See Ya
  15. Nuff said, getting the order ready for Brian, Thanks boys Yeahyeah
  16. Hello All, Just wondering is it worth reloading or not? This is the deal: 2 shooters myself and my son, 4 guns: 3-.40cal's, 1-.45acp., first year in competition, local club stuff. Both will be shooting Production, maybe a swing at Limited 10, we do shoot a lot of ammo, 500-1000 Rds a weekend. Not worried about the "perfect" load yet, but if reloading does make a big differance in your shooting I would be willing to get a 650 Dillon and go at it. Won't be shooting the .45cal as much, unless we do go with the reloading option. We will compete with the .40's. Can buy Wal-mart white box for $150 a 1000, or Miwall reloads for $115 a 1000. How much a round is it to reload .40 s&w, is it all worth it? Thanks for all the help!!!
  17. Hello all, do any of you fine people know of a gunsmith that knows HK's my son wants to start shooting in production and loves his HK Compact .40. He know's it's not "the gun of choice", but it's "his" first gun. Up till now he's always shot one of "my guns", for Xmas he got his HK and does not care if it's the crap of the field, it's his. So I want to see if it can be improved ie. trigger work, he's shot 3000 rounds through it since Christmas, so it's more or less broken in. Even if the gun is crap, he's young and 125lbs., he can do the course throwing rocks and still kick my old ass!! Thanks for all the great help everyone has given us so far. We are just starting and having a blast togeter great "family sport". To fun to be legal! Adam "yeahyeah" Anderson Oh yeah I live in California, but will ship the gun anywhere.
  18. Flex, I kinda answerd my own question, I was the one that emailed you the holster can be found at http://members.aol.com/KYTAC/ YeahYeah
  19. Will the Safariland mag pouches and holsters fit on the CRspeed belt?
  20. Hello, I am the one who called Brian about this question, and also am the person that was asking the question at the hot shots match this weekend. Still not sure what holsters are legal and what are not, but I thank everyone for trying to answer my questions. Is there anyone that runs the matches available for comment. If so what would you allow and what holsters would you send away. I also race karts and such a rule would never be left so open ended. I and my son are new to the sport and want to buy the correct hardware. I don't mind spending the money, just want to purchase the best stuff i can that is legal. We might want to shoot limited 10 at some point also, so if anything would crossover that is a help. Did not want to start a big fuss over this but, the rules are a bit vague. So if it does't say "race holster" in the parts discription is it legal? Just Kidding!
