    Just some food for thought,

    Ira

Consider the following ... shooter 2 shot 3.61 seconds faster, was 15 points down of shooter 3, but ended up with almost a full hit factor more and 11+% more points for the stage. Of course at the higher levels none of this is acceptable, but in the brush league where the fun boys and fun girls run this is real.

  2. Many thanks from another California shooter! It will be nice to be able to send the new shooters to you guys when they ask "Wow this is so much fun, but where can I get one of those?!" instead of crushing their enthusiam with the three hour conversation on how to get one under the previous status quo.

Anyway, I went on your website and can't really find information on the gun. Whenever you get around to it please post the best place to send people interested in ordering information.

    Thanks!

  3. Do anyone know how to like, make them forget what happened?

    2 oz vodka

    1 oz coffee liqueur

    light cream

Pour vodka and coffee liqueur over ice cubes

in an old-fashioned glass into cat bowl.

Fill with light cream and serve.

    Repeat as necessary.

If it does not appear to be working on cats try

    some yourself to make sure.

    Repeat as necessary.

    ;)

  4. ... had a great day yesterday, breakfast in the Haight, spending the afternoon at Baker beach, sushi and a movie at Japan Town after ... it's easy to take for granted why so many tourists come to San Francisco ... after narrowly averting accidents with three tour buses it's not easy to miss them though ... everything else aside, this is a beautiful place.

Anyway ... the point is Toro is in season so enjoy it while you can.

  5. Let's put this in perspective.  My friends in the UK and Europe have been paying anywhere from $4 to $6 a gallon for years.  Does is suck that prices have gone up? Yes.  But we still have cheaper gas than most of the rest of the free world.  As Fomeister said, travel to the match with a group of your friends to cut down on the cost....if you don't have any friends, go make some.

... the perspective here isn't whether or not someone else has more expensive gas or that they have had more expensive gas since the dinosaurs died and turned into oil.

The point is that the price on something that we have been using to get to matches has gone up by 35% in some cases over a very short period of time and it is impacting current shooting budgets ... or not. That's the question.

  6. ... so I'm off the my coed indoor soccer game and as I'm driving and hitting the auto scan on the radio I have to stop and start actually driving to not have an accident. Anyway, the radio ends up on 98.something, smooth whatever as I'm narrowly averting crisis, so I leave it.

Barry White ends up on the radio doing what he does best ... next thing you know I'm in the happy place (without the Hoppes #9 thank you Dan.) I'm ready for candle light and boxed wine by the time I pull into the parking lot. Not really the best mental state to be "crushing your enemies and hurdling their broken bodies."

Not so long story short, I didn't produce for sh!t, not surprising since the whole time I'm thinking "Your Sweetness is My Weakness," and we lost 9 to 8.

Friendly warning, it's probably best not to listen to the man who is singulary responsible for more people getting action than beer and more unplanned pregnancies than failed contraceptives before "battle."

  7. alvin,

i think from my interpretation of what you said that you like it or maybe you have been drinking your Hoppes #9 again and going to your happy place.

I love the smell of Hoppes #9 in the morning ... it's like ... Victory! :D

  8. ... calling the shot is calling the shot and is independent of what you are shooting at. Some targets just have more tolerance to hit a scoring surface than others so it seems like there is less "shot calling" on them. Don't be fooled by this. I expect, someone who is committed to hitting the highest scoring zone on paper sees no difference with shooting steel at distance. Since I am not one of these people maybe one of them will write in and confirm or deny.

BTW, I called the shot a hit and finished the course and left one piece of steel.

... the shot was called wrong then and recalibration is in order.

  9. ... from what I can understand, first you have to be committed to making the shot. Whether you are committed to hitting the highest scoring zone or just any scoring zone is up to you. If you are committed to this and apply your shot calling skills then ...

When you know, at the instant the shot broke, that it missed the target, the make up comes automatically.

you can read more here, here, and here ...

dig a little bit and you'll find much more ;)
