  1. Hey Joshua, I'm pretty sure he's been there so many times at the island of Boracay. It is not just for the ninja monks but it is definitely a paradise. Anyway, nice toys Short round. I still have my tigercat and been shooting it for 5 years now and never had anything to say but all praises for it. Waiting for my new one which is the Wildcat. Looking forward to shoot it. DVC
  2. I have a 5 inch limited gun with long dust /wide cover. Some friends suggested not to use one, some suggested to use one. I have one in mine right now. Is there any drag when using one? Causing jams during cycle of gun? Your expert views will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
  3. Thanks a lot for another good idea. This really helps. Silvervette - Thanks for taking time taking these pictures. Goodluck on your new house. Don't forget to invite us for your housewarming. And to all who responded, thanks for all the great ideas. DVC
  4. By the way, it is for major load. Thanks for asking.
  5. Anybody using Hogdon titegroup for 38 super? Any data - as to grains and OAL (overall length)? How does it feel to shoot and etc.? Right now, I'm using 350 and 3N37. Would really appreciate any data and input . Thanks. Titegroup is cheaper and easier to get on a local gun store.
  6. That is awesome Dave. How did you mount the mini-maglite that shines thru the toolhead? These are great mods. to setup your reloaders. Thank you for sharing it with us.
  7. Just built a bench for the 650. However, I was not able to mount it right due to I forgot to move the flat board overlappnig (flash mount)the bench which is 2x4. I tried mounting it without the strong mount but the end or back of the roller handle is hitting the 2x4 face board without completing the cycle. Any suggetions will be greatly appreciated. I have not tried it with the strong mount but it would not probably work too due to the back of the handle will the hit the face board or the flat board. Desperately need your help. Thanks in advance. By the way, I can't change the bench as it is a 12 foot bench.
  8. Buy the very best as you will save time and money in the long run. longevity means a lot.
  9. Well, I am a victim of this situation too. I ordered my pre-fitted slide and frame STI from Leck's on January 13th 2004 and was charged on my CC same day and has not received it yet till this day Feb. 17, 2004. When I came back from out of the country on January 26th, I was able to get in touch with her and she said, it is packed and ready to ship out. Since then, never heard from her, no merchandise. NO response to e-mails, phone calls and etc. As promised, I should have gotten it that week of January 26- 30 and never did received it. I agree. This is theft and she got paid for it and no merchandise to be found. I knew there was something fishy going on when she mentioned that there was a mix up on the FFL address where she needs to send it but no really. I know she may be going thru hard times but how about us THE CUSTOMERS who are victims. This is hard earned money $$$$$$$$.
  10. Thanks for your response guys. Groupings are .5 inch to 1 inch so far. Gun is a little bit tight but runs flawlessly. I may have to wait and see. Shoot it for another 1500 to 2000 rounds and check it out.
  11. Shooting a new limited gun for about 600 rounds. I can see some slight deep marks on the cut behind the link of the barrel and also marks on the ramp of the frame. 1. WILL THESE MARKS STOP AFTER SHOOTING 2000 ROUNDS AT LEAST? 2. SHOULD I BE CONCERNED ABOUT THESE MARKS AS IT MAY DAMAGED THE BARREL LINK OR THE BARREL ITSELF? ONE FRIEND SUGGESTED THAT I HAVE TO HAVE A GUNSMITH MILL OUT SOME OF THE METAL OF THE RAMP OF THE FRAME TO PREVENT DAMAGE TO THE BARREL ( LINK AREA AND CUT) FOR A PERFECT FIT. ALL SUGGESTIONS AND EXPERTISE WILL BE GREATLY APPRECIATED. THANKS IN ADVANCE.
  12. I can reply on that. The last time I checked with c-more was they require pre-pay and will cost you $55.00 dollars to change the lens and it is a 2-3 day turnaround. Hope that helps.
  13. Here's the scenario, I have an open gun with 3 ports on the slide (not hybrid). two concerns in mind as follows: 1. last port near the mount is hitting the blast shield ( already moved the c-more .5 inch back) still hitting the blast shield. 2. gases coming from the last port is making the lens of the c-more blurred. PLAN ONE: change the barrel only with no ports or two ports only (can I still use my old current slide and comp?) PLAN TWO: change to whole top end gun is very reliable and has 10k on it. fit of slide to frame is very good with almost no play Any suggestions will be appreciated especially prof. gunsmiths. Thank you for your time and patience.
  14. Hey Mike, Looks awesome. Planning to build one in 38 super. How does it shoot? Please let us know. Target acquisition better and faster? Thanks.
  15. Need advice on a recoil spring. Using 14 lbs. wt. now. Have shot the gun for 400 to 500 rounds. Can I change it now to 12 lbs. Some friends (shooters) have adviced me to use 12 lbs. as it really helps reduce the kick and shoots better. Is my question making sense at all? Thanks for your replies in advance. Happy Holidays!!!
  16. Thanks for your replies. Erik, Here are the answers to your questions. A. 38 super preferrably. B. Hybrid and or popplesholes is fine. C. flat shooting gun D. classification is class B. Hope these answers will help you helping me making good recommendations for choosing a comp in building a new open gun.
  17. Planning to build new open gun. What is the best comp out there for mini-gun or regular length? Your honest opinion and great knowledge would really be appreciated. I desperately need your honest and expertise opinion. Happy Holidays!!!
  18. Has anybody heard about halfman custom guns and his works? Would really appreciate your input on this. I'm planning to build an open gun on a decent budget. Some smiths are just too high averaging $3400.00. Thank you for your time and patience.
  19. Bedell Customs is based in New York. Seems to be a pretty nice guy. I was planning to have him built my top end but he advised me to build a new whole gun. Thought of saving money for the top end only but he wouldn't. He stated that it would complicate things if he has to follow specs from an old frame and would take time. Call Chuck from Shooters Connection. If you want to build or buy the whole gun, Dan Bedell told me to talk to Chuck. Then Chuck can rearrange everything for you. Waiting time is approx. 2 months. Not bad for a custom gun for all the bells and whistles.
  20. Looks awesome Pete. Seems like a very nice limited gun. Who built your toy? Happy shooting.
  21. any suggestions on a new magwell preferrably bigger magwell that is not too heavy? currently using EGW for an open gun. I have been using this magwell since 1998 and time to change now. Thanks in advance for any good suggestions and replies. DVC
