Looks for Range (1/11)

  1. I was in the same boat as you - new G35, gear and reloader. And as always, I've spent more than expected. The sight installation is not difficult. There is a video by Dawson Precision on Youtube that I watched before I installed my after market sights and the installation went fairly easy. All you need is a copper punch and a 3/16" hex wrench. I forgot about the file - you'll need a file to fit the rear sights.
  2. You may be right. Perhaps the seals need more pressure in order to work well. About how many shots can you get using 134a per charge? I may just get a different gun so I can use these duster cans.

    Duster Gas

Anyone here uses Duster Gas (as opposed to Propane or Green Gas) successfully? I purchased a six pack duster gas from COSTCO to try it on 3 different pistols and it didn't work. I could only take 2 shots before the air leaks. I'm using Airsoft Innovations' Duster Gas adapter for this. I tried it on these pistols (all with metal slide): - WE Hi Capa - KSC Glock 19 - KWA Glock 18C All pistols work perfectly with Propane. I just want to try Duster Gas as an alternative.
  4. Nice one! First time seeing the JP conversion kit - looks awesome!
  5. Just FYI - You can install the Rocket without purchasing the Orange plate if you don't mind making DIY from a hard plastic of similar thickness as the stock plate. It does not need to be perfectly shaped either. As long as your DIY plate can hold the pins in, it should work. I made one in less than 5 minutes from plexy glass and was able to install the connector successfully.
  6. Just finished setting my G35 up for USPSA Production. - KKM Barrel - Wolff 14lb recoil spring - Wolff extra power trigger spring - Wolff reduced power safety block spring - Wolff factory standard striker spring - I've decided to install the spring that came with the 14lb recoil instead of the reduced spring that came with the competition pack to reduce the chances of light primer strike. - Wolff recoil rod - Ghost Rocket connector - Sights: Warren plain rear; Sevigny FO .245 front - Some polishing and light sanding of trigger parts Just minor mods for now. I'll probably add more if I decide to go Limited.
  7. So the width reduction reduces tension - thanks for the explanation. I have plenty of these primers so that's what I use. I don't have any problems yet as I don't have these parts installed - I'm still in the planning stage and trying to figure out the parts that will work well with what I have so I can avoid having problems. At least that's the plan.
  8. Nice. How do you like the micro dot being mounted on the slide? I'm actually looking at the Jager open kit for G17 but I'm not sure if I'll like the red dot mounted on the slide.
  9. The last two post mentioned Lone Wolf connector so I went to check it out. The connector's features per website: Special features include: 25% reduction in side thickness provides superior reset action. Completely pre polished for the smoothest trigger pull Nickel plated for corrosion resistance. I can understand the benefits of polishing and nickel plating. What I don't get is the benefit of having reduced side thickness (other than less friction from reduced surface area). I noticed that the Glockworx Race connector has reduced side thickness as well. Does anyone know how this can improve the reset action?
  10. There are definitely a lot of after market options for Glock - so much that it makes it more difficult to chose which part to get. What's your connector of choice?
  11. Thanks for the link and explanation. I'll give it some thought. The G35 that I'm working on is strictly for competition and so I wanted a lighter trigger pull. I also want it to be reliable and to avoid light strikes. I guess it's difficult to have both. I may just leave the stock striker spring alone.
  12. I want to tinker - what's a marine FP cup? How would a polished striker help? Did you mean sharpen the striker so it will hit the primer deeper?
  13. I started typing before reading your post - thanks! I'll probably do the same.
  14. Okay, I read someone's post that says he only uses Federal primers with reduced striker spring so I guess that answered my question.
  15. For days, I couldn't decide on what sights to get for my G35. I just recently ordered the Warren plain rear and Sevigny .245 FO front. It's difficult to decide without seeing the actual product. I hope I made the right choice. I chose the Warren rear over Sevigny's because I like the "U" shape notch better.
