The question was: "If removing OL movement made it boring, why are the other seven stages not boring?"
And there you have it, folks!
Seven out of the eight SCSA stages are boring (at least to some).
So why not add movement to all stages? (Which, by the way, I would oppose.)
Or why not eliminate the movement in the ONE and ONLY stage? (Which I think is the right thing to do.)
Just leave it alone, kid. Keep shooting yer rim fire and enjoy yourself. Leave the stages to the center fire folks.

Oh, I'm confident of that.
But that wasn't the question.
The question was: "If removing OL movement made it boring, why are the other seven stages not boring?"
The answer is, they are…

9 major in Lim would be the height of lunacy. Were none of you alive in the early 80s?

Never seen this before. Shot level 2 match yesterday. Finish stage, escorted to chrono. Clear gun and turn sight on. Chrono dude fires 3 rounds, all is well. Clear gun, holster and attempt to put rts cover on. Look down and the lock set screw is almost fully backed out, stopping the cover from fitting. Went to safe table and threaded set screw back in tight.
cannot imagine how 3 rounds caused this anomaly. Anyone ever seen this?

30 years ago, the steel challenge changed outer limits to one box. it was boring as hell. they changed it back the next year. matter of fact, back then the plates were at 20, 25 & 40 yards.

Shot the match this year. Very well run, range is awesome, stages good. Great match for the entry. Shipped 950 rounds, flying back with about 350. Match was definitely a PCC match. Only negative is location. There ain’t nothing in hurricane.

Now they’re gonna want PCC-10.

Keep the stages the way they are. I'm tired of diluting everything to accommodate the lowest common denominator.
Sure it would be easier, and how about we use bigger targets and closer too, do away with miss penalties, and everyone can just start with their gun on target instead of in that pesky holster, or heck make it real easy just give everyone an 8 second stage time and a participation trophy.

Firing pins have been out of stock on ria sight for months…lots of things break on this and cannot get parts.

I wasn't buying ammo or components at that time, are you telling me it's been this bad before and bounced back to near normal prices? Because that's what I'd like to hear.
It kinda did. Places like PV kept prices low for years. There were gougers for sure. But I never saw something like this. Would never have guesses birdshot would become so rare….kinda like rimfire last time.

Actually prefer 2200. Turns out a little more accurate, and use less of a powder charge than 2230.
-
assume you meant AA2230, not 2330. if so, jump on that stuff. meters great, soft shooing and it is great for 55gr pills. have done accuracy tests with lots of powders, and you can have TAC-it's dirty powder.

Completely agree, but at some point people will be stacked deep and then prices will fall and people will wait for the bottom while they shoot through their stockpile and then when they are so cheap they won't stockpile because it's cheap and plentiful and then a panic will be triggered and we'll be in the same spot.
The only thing that caught me off guard were 12 ga trap and hunting loads so that's on my future stockpile list now too.
never saw the birdshot scarcity coming either. never again...

Shot my 6” .40 with 180’s for years. Tried 165’s and what I really notice is how sluggish the slide moves with 180’s. 165’s bring that front sight back a bit faster. YMMV.

Easier to silver solder. I know a guy that also did it with jbweld.

how about term limits on all AD's? you get one term, then out. fresh blood is good.

The only sure way to know if an AD acted appropriately is for USPSA to publish all the comments that were received (via comment forms and emails) regarding the new bylaws so the members can see what percentage of the comments were negative vs positive.
This would be transparency…
agreed-but that will never happen. never...
