I was told by several (non-HQ) people that nobody wants to go back to Vegas for nationals. Maybe things have changed to make that viable now though, since last time?

SUPS redid their bays and arrangement, and apparently it's just not suitable to hold the nationals there any more. They'd have to do a split match or something, with some stages there and the rest at another range.

i shot berrys steel match at SUPS in april.  the sheer size and number of bays is staggering.  parking would be an issue.

    Cameo is a beautiful faculty.

Grand junction airport is serviced by like 2 major carriers… Delta can only get me to Denver or Salt lake at that time of year (before ski season). And either of those is a 4.5hr drive.

A MAJOR metropolitan airport within 2 hours of the range really should be a prerequisite for Nationals.

Between the magazine issue and the lack of airport access… Cameo is a terrible choice for a Nationals IMO.

i agree.  great ranges in the middle of nowhere suck for an event.  but uspsa got tired of vegas...

From reading your other posts, we agree on most of it.  I don't agree with dots outside of open, but if we had to, having another low cap division instead of making welfare open would have been far superior to what we got.

I have a suspicion that someday soon, I'll be forced to get a carry optics gun or stay home.  I hate to say it, but I very well may stay home.  If Limited and Open really are dead and it's just all rifles and welfare open, the game is done.

    This guy gets it…
