  1. Wow... That's a lot of rounds... I guess 50g makes one take practice very serious
  2. Wow, today is the shoot-off for the 3GN Championship. Who is the odds on favorite!!!! First Round: Tommy Thacker vs Phil Strader Jeff Cramblit vs Rustin Bernskoetter Taran Butler vs Mike Voigt Mark Hanish vs Tyler Payne I surly wish I could be there to watch these great shooters compete. Also for the guys attending, please post pics, videos, results, opinions, etc... I am living vicariously through you guys... Regards Darryl
  3. Pros had 1 extra stage spread over an extra 1/2 day, and many were at the side matches. I know because I was taking lots of notes at the Benelli and LaRue sides by watching those guys. Now, the pros and others that didn't have time were the ones busting their butts as ROs and match staff. Those guys not only missed much of the side matches, they shot 8 stages in 1 day, then worked the next 3!! They were a key part of the success of the match. So, while I join everyone in thanking the sponsors, I also give a huge thanks to the staff that pulled it off. You guys/gals ROCK!! Thanks, Robert I second that...
  4. We are shooting VA/MD on Saturday morning and then driving to Topton after to shoot on Sunday morning. Guess that's going to be my plan as well...
  5. FNH is really putting their money where their mouth is.... Good on FNH Ok now I need that new Comp. SLP (the blue one)....
  6. I bought one of these bad boy's at the FNH match. Great fit and finish. Very light weight. I bought the xlong version. Looks great on my rifle...
  7. it was a three day party! the match was fun to shoot but it was so much more than shooting, it was a great social event too. my biggest mistake was not staying at the lodge, where everyone hung out after the match daily. That was my mistake as well... It looks like the lodge is a no go this year as well. Apparently it is already booked. We need a backup match hotel....
  8. Yea, Stage 3 was my Waterloo. I was trying to makeup time after having to replace my hearing protection that popped out while mounting the shotgun. I was a little south of the dump barrel while placing the shotgun. 180! I was on my second to last stage and was shooting well. You live and learn.... Overall a great match. I had the opportunity to speak with and shoot with a number of great shooters. Can't wait for next year to redeem myself. Great match guys!!!! OH Yea, Cody Leeper is a great kid and an awsome shooter. His parents should be very proud.... Regards Darryl
  9. I have been up a few hours now cleaning guns lol... Can't wait for day 2...
  10. Couple of us from Buffalo and Rochester NY. I'm staying at the Sleep Inn... Just finished the first day of shooting. Didn't do to bad. Squad 11 is excellent.... Great group of guys Regards Darryl
  11. Thanks guys for the replys... They are most helpful. Regards
  12. I have been reading posts from some of the fine revolversmiths on this forum that, in order to get the maximum benefit from an action job, one must use "well seated" Federal primers. My issue is: I do not reload but still want the maximum effect of the action job. My question is: Does the commerical Federal ammo contain said Federal primers that are being referenced, by the smiths. (Don't flame me...lol Just making sure I'm comparing apples...) So if they are one and the same, a complete action job on my 625 should be ok have done. Is this assumption correct? Regards
