What was the range of the target to gun?
-
I agree that the wrenches are crap but I used it to tighten the lock nuts in 2006 and they haven't loosened.
-
Is the primer punch bushing flush with the frame? Or below? Must be flush.
-
I use CFE223 in my AR and bolt. It's a good powder, but I found it best in the AR.
Quite clean.
-
I don't think that the locking block is far enough forward to have any real effect on recoil, and IF it does, it wouldn't be enough to justify the cost.

Thanks for the update Warren.

Totally understand!
Was talking with my source today, and a call to engineering came back with "they're all the same except the Ratchet." Being a bit doubtful, he's going to put his hands on a couple and let me know for sure.
If an aftermarket toolhead does offer the threaded Station #4, then like you noted it's a bit crowded and the Lever Arm Bracket has to be dealt with! Here's a pic of my Everglades Primer Hold Down Die that shows just how close the Bracket sits to that Station #4 location..........
IMO, that Bracket needs to be re-engineered!
You must be sorting your brass because the case heads are different thicknesses, and the thickness would be different with the flashhole punched.
You also said that the lever arm bracket needs to be re engineered. As it's an aftermarket addition, then the maker of the primer hold down die should do it and not Dillon.
I have never used the hold down die, never had a problem that would require it. I have had my 1050 for 14 years.

CR pouches for me.
My fix for the wobble.

Interesting, but stock numbers are different - 66024 (RL1100) 19399 (SP1050)
The numbers came from the online manuals.
-
Both are PN 20420.
-
I made mine out of 3/4" webbing and snaps.
-
I phoned their 800 number and their 905 number and they are both out of service.
Shame.

Their web site says under construction.

It appears that the CED Rollsizer for 9mm does not clean up the rim.
Correct?
On 8/29/2020 at 10:52 AM, MikeyScuba said:Yes. But it’s not an issue imo.
Case Pro100 is the only rollsizer that cleans up the rim AFAIK, which is the one that I have.
I have seen where a damaged rim will cause a problem, but mostly with bottomfeeders.

I'm partial to Comp Tac holsters and pouches.

Pete i think factory is 14 but will double check. Too light a spring has the slide coming back faster and returning slower. In my "brain" that shouldn't be causing this...?
My Trojan 40 was an 18# spring from the factory.
-
Are you still running the 12# recoil spring with the factory loads?
IIRC correctly the factory spring is 18#.
-
I run my loads near max anyway, so I won't go higher. Just not using these bullets anymore.
Thanks for the suggestion.
-
I have used them and wasn't impressed. Shot from multiple Glocks', a BHP, an STI Ranger II, and a CZ.
I tended to get a lot of keyholing.
I also had a plated HP that did the same but with fewer keyholes.
FWIW I never had this problem with Xtreme bullets nor Berrys' RN.

Can you post a picture?
Please?
I can't because I can't find the jig. I haven't used it in 10 years and it may be gone.
-
I made a jig to bend the springs. A 3"x3"x1" block of aluminium, drilled 2 holes about 3/4" apart and drove in 2 roll pins. Hook the spring in 1 and use the other to perform the bend gently and slow for the desired effect.

There is a drop of blue on my strain screw, that's it.
If you must Loctite the little screws, use 222 the low strength variety.

The people using LocTite on the strain screw have used it to lessen the pressure on the mainspring rather than shortening the screw.
A better method than LocTite would be to perform this job.

I have always run 10rds for better and more accurate results.
What’s going on with these bullet holes.

The bullets aren't stabilised. Have you slugged the barrel?
Are you using a Lee Factory Crimp Die?
