The 550 will hole it's value better then cash in the bank.I just bought my 3rd 1050 and keep each one caliber specific.I am still trying to learn how my 550 runs...
why? its like driving a ferrari then going to a chevy from a 1050 to a 550

I used a Hornady progressive for a couple years, with some frustration involved. Bought a 650 and it has been good to go. I figured I'd use the two press system for different calibers, but I ended up putting the Hornady in a box and it's been there for years. I don't even feel good about selling it, as I'd rather someone go straight to the better reloader and skip the headaches. There is no issue what so ever with the Dillon powder measure. Do yourself a favor and buy Dillon from the get go and everything will be fine.
i agree!

maybe its your lube? did you try a differant lube? or even try no lube at all? but im going with steel dies as you apparently know to lube them?!?

the quickest fix for that is buy a 650 lol ask n2extrm
Is the primer feed set-up significantly different with the 650 c/w the 550? Doesn't there still have to be a tube, and a mechanism such as the sliding primer bar which picks up and delivers the primer?
they are totally differant 550 slides a primer 650 spins a primer

No worries- it is an RL550B. Cost for clean and lube service is $47.95, which includes return shipping. Simply phone or e-mail for a return authorization. If you e-mail, please include your address. Current in-house turnaround time is about two weeks.
and ive read its way faster then two weeks sometimes matter a fact it was in blue press last month lol

Harbor Freight unit works very well.
Mine is about 1.5 years old now and has functioned flawless thus far.
It will clean my 284 cases perfect only negative is I limit it to 50 cases. More then that and it's not working as well.
Mixture is 50% Distilled water and 50% White Vinegar. Soak them in Distilled water dry them then 30 minutes in the tumbler with some brass polish and it's like new Brass.

thats just too much work for me
