  1. I was just advised by LaRue that their SPR-E mount installed backwards would work fine BUT it is not compatible with the OEM rail, which would have to be replaced with a 1913 Picatinny rail. What would this entail? Has this suddenly become a gunsmith only proposition? It seems to be getting a bit more complicated.

Yes, that's right, the SOCOM's forward rail is not picatinny spec.

Here's an option that goes in place of the handguard:

    Ultimak rail

    Or http://www.amegaranges.com/miniM14.php

Go here for more info about the M14 than you could imagine. There is a scope mount FAQ that you can download. You can't go wrong with a Smith Enterprise or ARMS:

Or you can swap stocks for a SAGE or Troy pistol grip/collapsible stock!

actually the socom 16's rail IS weaver/picatinny spec

  2. my 650 ejection chute was the same way i called dillon and the guy gave me this bullshit speech about oh you have to bend it a little here and there to make it work i was like wtf? it just cost me 1200 bucks with goodies! and i have to bend the chute? never the less he wouldnt send me a chute so i f*#king zip tied it to the frame been working great since then!

p.s. he sounded a little sour when i said i ordered from enos

  3. kinda upset lucky you! mine went in same dirty look as yours and came back same look as they went in i was upset they didnt even clean mine at all just put a few small parts in and called it a day guess you got lucky with yours. i mean they even put the same old scrubby parts back in it oh well. i dont know what to say!

  4. Kyle's right, it's meant to be a commercial machine.

MOO, the 1050 is a great machine.  Station 2 takes a swager for handling military primer pockets.  Do note however the price of additional heads, accessories et. al.  Also note that the stroke on the regular 1050 (not the new Super 1050) is too short to load rifle.  I've thought about this a great deal, and my next press (got two hands, need two presses) will be a 650.  Muy less expensive to start and for all the gadgetry.

ya but i mean honestly if you can afford a 1050 then swapping and buying tool heads should be nothing to you.. just my .02 cents

  5. a guy on www.glocktalk.com forums in the reloading section named ANEAT sells them 15 bucks shipped if anyone is interested they feel great

Yeah he made me a couple a year or so ago.

Adam is a member here also, but I need to point out that our rules don't allow buying and selling on the forum.

(Sorry, I had to remove a few posts along those lines.)
