  1. The duty kit will put you close to a stock trigger pull with a much smoother, crisper trigger. If you want to go with a lighter trigger pull but not quite as light as the competition spring kit you can leave the stock trigger return spring in and it will be down around 4-5 pounds. The Apex trigger return spring is actually stronger than the stock spring in order to keep everything around stock specifications. I have the DCAEK installed on my 9L and purchased a competition spring set just in case. This actually gives me three different levels of trigger pull depending on how I swap the springs around.
  2. Would love something in a BG380 format but 9mm caliber...
  3. Have the 45c, originally came with purple springs and they bent/deformed where the spring transitioned from the larger overall diameter to the smaller, resulting in the follower sticking in the mag. Smith swapped them out for me and sent green springs. So far, no problems with these...
  4. That is definitely a Cobra or clone. No mistaking those outriggers on the front...
  5. The setscrew method is the best way to reduce the takeup. If you bend the trigger bar ramp it increases the overtravel and the reset distance...
  6. That's very interesting... I haven't had a chance to tinker with the sights on my 9L yet, but I've noticed that my front sight is drifted over about 1/16" left of center, like it had to be drifted too far into the taper of the dovetail to be tight. I'm wondering now if once I get it close to center that it might be too loose. The production date on my 9L is June of 2010.
  7. Thanks very much for the link to Sinclair's blog site. Lots of GREAT info there!!! I hadn't run across their site yet...
  8. From what I understand, the trick with Botach is to actually call them, verify stock, and then place your order. I got a sweet deal from them on a Magpul UBR stock at 20% off. With their 10% sale going on right now mags would be less than $18 ea. Even with $13 shipping you still come out ahead. Depends on whether you can wait for them to come back in stock.
