  1. I'm not a machieneist or gun smith but you said 5 guys. I will agree with that. And I would wager Gary Natalie is one of if not top of the list. That guy is amazing with his work. The other that comes to mind a lil less known is Jeff Abernathy. Jeff does my machine and gunsmith work really good guy.

But your right about the holes ect.

  2. yeah once I cant it back more level it will easily pass. the only reason i have it kicked out that far now is because I needed more room away from my body. also I have a gogun racer peddel on it that will easily make up the extra. That does count as "the handgun" I would assume.

after straightening the holster and taking out the outward cant I got 2.75 inches to the center of the trigger guard and giving a generous inner belt measurement. When i get my gun back in tomorrow I will give it a final check but i am sure its going ot be fine!

  3. If you are like me and have just a little extra to get around on the draw I come up with this mod. Hopefully in the very near future i wont need this mod anymore but for right now lol i do.

this mod puts the gun just s little bit furthor away from the body.

I used some delerin bar stock but you can use steel or aluminium whatever.

What i did was cut a piece and drilled it to fit the top hanger adapter

    IMG_0044.jpg

I figured what the heck I drilled an extra hole to give a bit more of height adjustment

then just got some longer bolts and bang fat man ghost holster

    IMG_0043.jpg

I dont use the little disk but if you want to all you have to do is get a bit longer bolt

    IMG_0047.jpg

even canted out it probably would still conform to the rules. But i am sure i am going to have to pull it in some.

  4. bobby put a very light striker spring spring on the striker to make for a very light trigger pull. you wont be able to use SRP with 100% reliability especially in the winter. When i was running my glock guns I used a jager striket and wold reduced power srping. I never could get anything but federal spp to run 100% 100% of the time. CCI was pretty close.

if you run CCI or federal spp or spm you will never have any issues. wolf spp was 50% on a warm day. I sold all of my glock stuff long time ago and run all 2011 platform hammer fire guns I can almost run wolf SRM in them with a 17lb main spring .

I would not change anything on your gun just use a softer primer. Bobby makes some very nice guns. I used all his parts when i built my open and limted glocks.

  5. I have both set ups. And like them both to be honest. My 9 major gun has 3 small holes. My 38 sc gun has a 4 hole hybrid.

From shooting these two set ups what I have learned is what I really want out of my gun.

It has to have a super light slide. Popple holes and and aluminum grip. Plus a tungstone guide rod. See where I going I like henry gun with a fast slide. So I am thinking on my next build of using a full dust cover slide and cutting it back just a bit longer than a standard.

  6. HAHAHAAHAH

GUYS i just woke up after 3 long night shifts! I am total dumb ASS. I read 1.150 and was thinking 1.115 now that I have some sleep no 1.155 is straight

IMG_1139.jpg 9.2 grains of hs-6 which @ an oal of 1.115 would be pretty compresed at 1.15 not so much :surprise::roflol:

  7. There is no way you can cram 9 grains of hs6 in a case at 1.15. Yes you will use less powder to get to the same power factor but less powder equals less gas equals wrong way for what he wants. I load 9.6 grains of hs6 with a 115 and get 173-175 out of my trubor 3 holes. I wish I could load 1.175 and drop in a couple more tenths. 9.6 at 1.235 in my scomp gun makes 168.

    EDIT

LOL I am not gonna delete this but leave it and call my own self a tired dumb ass! I was reading 1.15 and thinking 1.115 oh well I have done worse things with no sleep.

  8. O.K. If I read the original post correctly, it says that factory ammo runs 100%. If that's the case, it pretty much says it's not the gun, or magazines. :surprise:

Try to duplicate what a factory load looks like, with your reloads. You only need enough crimp to take the bell out of the case, but, just a hair more, if you're using jacketed bullets won't hurt anything. The crimp on a 9mm does nothing, your bullet is held in by the internal dimension of the case.

I run mostly Zero, 125 grain jhps, but, I load them shorter than most people here--about 1.15" OAL, and have run thousands without a bobble.

Exactly how do smash enough 3n38 or hs-6 in a case that short and make major? And if his rounds are dragging from being to long it's a mag issue. I would run a major 9 gun gun under 1.145 to be honest I wouldn't run it that short. I say that because people have issues with glock mags

  9. I can't say anything more than what Ron said. I don't think fixing the crimp is going to help your feed issue. I think your mags may need tuning or you load is to long and dragging the front of the mag on the way up. In my sti mags I can't load longer than 1.170 with Montana golds but with pre delta I can load to 1.178. But I load 1.165 and have flawless feeding. I have never not once in a match had a malfunction in my 9 major gun. But also yeah back off the crimp.

Also search the reloading sub forum for my latest posts on finding more gas to run the comp.

  10. Hello: WOW, I just don't know what to say  The grip looks good to me and will match some of my stuff already  I would call that colour leopard frog green. I remember as a kid catching frogs in northern Ontario Canada that were that shade. Mat if you need anything done let me know. Guys I appreciate the kind words but not sure if I deserve it or not. I am just trying to help others out and get them off the chesterfield(sofa) and in the garage so they can invent stuff and have fun. I had alot of people help me out when I started and still have alot of guys helping me now. That is what this sport is about and it has some of the best people in it  Thanks, Eric

no problem my friend! let me get it smoothed out and touch uped and put some more texture on and i will get it up to ya!

  11. I am using a metallic hi heat paint that i run though my air brush. It doesnt stand up to wear all that great but so long as you dont get brake cleaner on it lasts a good while and touching up takes about 10 min ( which is dunking the part in acetone for 1/2 hour blowing it off and spraying it over. ) so I always have a fresh paint job!@!! I dont really care about hard chorme and all that. I live down on the mississippi gulf coast everything rusts here in a matter of seconds even the people. So my paint jobs serve to purpsoes keep my parts in the white from rusting and give me something enjoyable to do.

slide mount and muffs are going to get a 3 tone color thats going to blend in to a red candy flake. with chrome out lines and white spash
