Laser or .22 conversion kit for better accuracy training?
cali shot doc replied to seeds76's topic in Handgun Techniques
For dry firing, I really like using my laser. I got a cheap laser off amazon and I use it to help with trigger control. I'll dry fire and make sure i keep my sights/laser on my target with the least amount of movement. I also use my laser for practicing target acquisition, I'll switch between targets getting use to putting my sights on center mass with out needing much aim. -
is it a women's shirt? pink shirt? buttons painted on? see through shirt? has a funny character on it? made out of spent brass? made out of targets?

What's the norm that most people shoot in 9 mm for Production and Limited 10? I'm just getting into competing and i like the 115 g over 124g. I'm hopefully going to start reloading early next year and am wondering if I should stay with 115g or go to 124 maybe. I only shoot 9mm.....is it worth getting into? I have thought about getting a LEE 1000 or a Dillon SDB....

I'm shooting a xd9 tactical. I'm mainly shooting 115g fmj reloads from miwallcorp that i get at the local gun show (1000 rounds for about $180, best deal for a college student) and/or pmc bronze. -
Hello! I am from San Bruno, CA - right near San Fran. I was taking shooting lessons at a place a couple miles from my house. They make shooting difficult around here, but if you get outside of the Bay Area craziness it's not as bad. Where are you from and where do you shoot? I'm from Richmond. I primarily shoot at richmond rod and gun club

I have a springfield xd9 tactical and i'm fairly new to shooting and i just can't seem to find a comfortable grip that will make me a consistent accurate shooter. I think i have a little smaller hands than most shooters. I shoot right handed.

I'm going to be getting a press for xmas and for the last few months i have been picking up any piece of brass i can lay my hands on. I've been shooting 9mm reloads from miwallcorp (best once fired reloads imo) but i had a few that were a little deformed (bullet dented and didn't wana risk running it thru my barrel). I pulled them apart so i could keep the casing and throw away the deformed bullet and had them (3 in all) on my work space and long story short, my dog decided he wanted some love and jumped up on my lap and that knocked those 3 casings with the rest of my 9mm casings. I can't tell which one's they were and what has me worried is that they have a live primer in them. ( newbie and wasn't thinking very smart) When I run those 3 casings thru my dillon 550b after i get it, will the station that takes the used primer out set off the live primer in the 3 casings? I'm worried about a huge accident possibly happening....What can I do? DUMB DUMB DUMB ME

I am thinking about giving my xd9 a trigger job and was wondering how low can i go on it. is 2.5 lbs the lowest or what do you like? Is this legal? I'm also thinking about switching out my sights for truglo or dawson is this legal? I have also thought about getting a new guide rod, one that has a little more weight to it...is this legal to use for these divisions. Is there a topic or site that has a set list of what you can and can not do for the xd9 tactical or atleast for these divisions thats in newbie language?
-
My local gunsmith said that i should get truglo sights on my SA xd9 tactical but when i called springer about a trigger job they said not to get those because they are bad for competition. I'm going to be shooting limited and production outdoors so what are good sights to have? If you say Dawson i'm confused by what you have to order....some local guys said to get adjustable sights so do i need to get both front and back adjustable sights or can i just get back.....newbie here so please be detailed lol.....

should i try to install my own trigger kit?
