Yes Avast is good but now a day the Microsoft Security Essentials is best antivirus. It is free to download and free to update so thats great now you dont need to pay for antivirus.

I dont think you need more RAM I think the problem is virus. so install antivirus and scan your pc then your problem will be solved.

Hey raw is new format and it is for better photography then why you want to change it.I think this camera has one features is its raw support.
