Got the response today, they should be able to replace the frame.
Did they say if it would have the same serial number? Just curious how they would handle something like that.
-
Can it fit a mr.bulletfeeder also?
YES

I haven't shot both but I do own a Brazos HP Edge and it has functioned 100% of the time, the shooter not so much.

Dried oil...hmm. All motor oils have a detergent package and seal conditioners, they are in fact designed for those purposes.
Due in part to many years working in an oil analysis lab, many years working in the race industry and several grad courses in tribology, I came to see the vast majority of "gun lubes" for what they were...lubes from other industries with little or no modification and huge markups. I have, over the years run various tests on the lubes that were given to me on prize tables, in boxes with guns, etc. For several years, I used a mix of ATF and synthetic motor oil. Under testing, which included analysis of metal wear on an SEM and several ASTM friction test standards, it performed better than anything that was on the market. I combined that with Brian Enos Slide Glide, which also tested out better than the competition.
When FrogLube and FireClean came out, I tested them as well. I figured out what they were made of and tested them in extreme conditions following their instructions as well as tests not following their instructions. What I found is that they were worse than most of the typical gun oils on the market in several areas, so I merely moved on.
When I got a bottle of Lucas Extreme duty gun oil, I just went on to test it like any else figuring it would be about the same as the typical stuff. But I was wrong, and I kept testing it. I was impressed and endeavoured to learn more about it and test it in harsher and harsher conditions. That is what I use now due to the performance benefits. Lucas did later offer me a sponsorship, which I took, not for the free oil, but for the opportunity to be able to give out samples to friends and work with a company who has high standards and acts with integrity...something sorely missing in the firearms industry in the last few years.
They have recently come out with several new products, a few I have tested and talked about, like the Metal Polish. Others, I am still testing and evaluating under standard test protocols and on my own firearms. I'll not recommend them until I have thoroughly vetted them myself.
I will say that if you are using a Synthetic motor oil, using a heavier weight and adding some synthetic ATF will increase the performance.
Have you ever tested Weapon Shield and if so how did it compare to Lucas Extreme Duty gun oil?

NICE! I saw the picture on Infinity's FaceBook page just the other day and thought to myself that was a nice gun. Congratulations!
I'm about 5.5 months into the wait now.

What works well in my Cheely 5" no popple hole gun;
Montana Gold 124gr JHP 1.165" OAL CCI SRP
Silhouette 7.8gr 171pf
HS-6 8.4gr 173pf
AutoComp 7.0gr 172pf

Send it in for reconditioning. It will come back looking just like new. Based on what others have stated. Luckily mine get used enough they don't get a chance to rust. If they did and it was bad enough, I think I would just do as others and send it in.

Congratulations! You will like your new press.
I've had mine since the mid 80's. I use the 650 with bullet feeder more than the 550 these days but the 550 is great for smaller batches and rifle rounds since I don't shoot thousands of them per month.

They are pretty soft, doesn't take much to screw them up. I've jammed a case in there a time or two and cleaned them up with a file but best just to replace them on your next parts order.

VP9C and VP9SK please.

I use the Redding Micrometer die in 9mm for both my open major gun and my minor 9mm rounds, never adjust the crimp die.

Right or left is correct by military standards...

I ran with a 550 for over 20 years and it worked well but a couple of years back I got the 650 and later a bullet feeder. Both presses are great and will do what you want them to do but if you are planning on loading a lot of rounds I would go with the 650.

I hear they are nice guns. But at 11 months I had already been competing with my Cheely for 7. Of course I can't then sit around and make X's on the calendar.
I think my Cheely open gun was 3-4 months too. It's been a great blaster with the exception of the cracked slide and the down time waiting to get it back. I guess there was a shortage of 9mm slides back then. Once I get the Infinity I'll be sending my STI back to Matt to have him go through it and maybe get a new finish.

11 months into the wait. I have nothing else to add, I just wanted express my happiness with another month wait in the books...
I have that many to go, or maybe more...

That's what the rumor is on HKPro. The VP40 is also part of that.
-
I picked one up last year, it's my steel challenge gun.
-
I usually use whatever is cheaper and that is usually CCI. No problems in any of my guns.
-
I would run the 650 for a few months until you know it inside and out. Once you get to that point add a MBF. You can start with it but you may get frustrated trying to learn both systems and how they work together. Not saying you can't but why add more frustration then you need to. The two work really well together and if you load large batches of the same ammo I would highly recommend it. Good luck!

My load with Silhouette is 7.8gr under a Montana Gold 124gr JHP loaded out to 1.165 OAL with a CCI small rifle primer. I get a low SD and a PF of 174.
This is with a 5" Cheely built gun.

Picked up a P30SK LEM Lite on July 15th, I have right at 1000 rounds through it now and I’m really pleased with the performance and feel. I did a comparison to it with my P2000SK on HK Pro http://www.hkpro.com/forum/hk-handgun-talk/221830-p2000sk-v1-lite-vs-p30sk-v1-lite.html#post1689760 If you haven’t tried one of these yet it is a fantastic subcompact pistol.
I always felt the P2000SK was a great little gun but with the adjustable grip panels on the P30SK I would say it has the P2000SK beat. I’m sure if/when the VP9SK comes out I will be in line for that one too.
Here is a picture of the P30SK

Have you broke down any rounds to see if the powder looked different?

Have you tried any Slime http://slime.com/? I use this in my lawnmower tires and on the 4-wheeler and never have a flat.
Officially in month 11 of the SVI wait

I'm a little over 8 months now. Just when I forget about it I see this post or someone else's pop up and I start counting the days again!
