Wouldn’t it be amazing if Sigs were able to accepted all Sig red dots without third party mounting plates?

2.5 moa is too small and I'm not really sure how I feel about the large triangle reticle.
Have you tried it?
I’m coming from an 8 moa cmore I have on my open gun and PCC to this 2.5 DPP on my X5 Legion and it is working pretty we’ll especially with it turned all the way up. I didn’t think I would like it but it’s not bad.

Sorry I thought you said NOT a DPP currently available.

I got one Monday. Shot it for the first time today. I have shot one previously just a few rounds. I like this gun!
Like many, I just wish there were more direct mount optics NOT a delta point pro currently available.

It will be interesting to see how the new SRO holds up once it has as many in use as the DPP. I hope it is better but only time and numbers will tell.
-
You would think all of their optics would fit all of their guns without mounting plates!

Knock on wood I put a DPP on my P320 X5 Legion and have shot USPSA and Steel Challenge without any issues.
Have over 1500 rounds on it now. Also started using grease instead of oil which has reduced residue on the optic. I think yesterday on a 186 round USPSA match I only wiped the optic off once.
So far no complaints with the DPP optic. Not saying I won’t look at something later but it’s a no brainer right now since it’s a direct fit with the X5 Legion.

Looks like 2-13 months when you check availability.

Someday "soon" they are supposed to release the Romeo 3MAX. Who knows when...

I plan to try N320 but right now I have a couple thousand rounds of TightGroup and W231 to run through first and they do cloud up my DPP.

For starters they can throw every x5 Legion barrel with the LCI in the trash can so it quits clouding up my DPP!
I agree! Got mine today and noticed before I got 100 rounds through it I was cleaning off the lens of the DPP.
Other that that I’m totally impressed with this gun. Very well balanced, accurate, and a pleasure to shoot. Looking forward to using it as a carry optic gun Saturday in a SC match and Sunday for USPSA.

But it’s still limited for carry optics to the Sig red dots (without a plate to convert to better red dots).
The X5 Legion is cut for the Romeo 1 Pro and Romeo 2 according to their description which from what I understand is the same as the DeltaPoint Pro. Will know for sure in a few days when mine arrives.
-
I agree.
I like the M&P 2.0 but since they didn’t make an optic ready full size I put an order in for the new Sig X5 Legion. It will be my first Sig so I’m looking forward to it.

Looking forward to my first Sig and first dip into Carry Optics! Ordered yesterday and was told up to two business days before shipping. Received receipt and charge on my card, just waiting on tracking numbers.
Just finished ordering a holster and a couple of the Springer Precision 140mm base pads so should be good to go. If all goes well I might have it ready for a steel challenge match next Saturday. Hopefully my optic will be here soon, it got routed to the northern part of the state by our mail service yesterday!

It doesn’t get any easier! I still practice with iron sights but play the games with a dot. Open, CO, or PCC will be your future.

Looks good, congrats.

I was impatient, Shooters Connection had what I was looking for in stock. Had it in 2 days!
Great PCC, have 3000 rounds through it. Have shot it in both USPSA and SCSA without the first hiccup.
-
All of my 1911’s can run both without issues. I have more ETM’s than Cobras if that means anything.

Dillon has always taken care of anything I broke.

Why?
IMO there’s a reason a 115 to 124 running around 140pf is really really common among verteran AR9 guys in USPSA.
It’s flat, accurate, and it runs the gun quickly with heavy & shortstroked actions.
I just figured people didn’t want a different load for their PCC from their production gun.
What limited testing I did, I didn’t see an advantage to shooting higher power factor ammo from the GMR, but I’m new to this so maybe I’m missing something.
-
Mine has never seen a factory round.
Over 2500 rounds so far and not the first hiccup with the gun or ammo.

Obviously you have a defective batch. Send it to me for proper disposal.

I think 5 steel would work fine with light loads. I have 4 steel and 1 tungsten running 130 pf. My next order I will pick up another steel mass just to see.
Softer Primers - Effect on Breechface
in 9mm/38 Caliber

I’ve always heard using SRP in standard pistol velocity doesn’t seal the primer pockets and can lead to breechface erosion. In an open gun you have more pressure so it seals the pocket plus sometimes a SPP will get pierced from the firing pin/pressure.
With all of that said I use SRP in my open guns and 38 Supers. I also use SRP in standard velocity 9mm if I’m running short on SRP. I do keep a close eye on the breechface on the guns I run SRP in and so far I haven't noticed any problems in them.
