  1. Nice! Is there a way to look at all divisions combined?
  2. My thank you emails have been sent out, thank you for making it easy.
  3. Hey y'all, great match, well worth the drive. Thanks so much for the time and effort everyone put in. Curious, are the results posted anywhere online yet?
  4. Good to know, thanks. I'm sorry to say, but CO is dead to me after this match in general. No way I will be setting another foot in the State inless I absolutely have to. I hope all the good people, business, and matches, follow Magpuls lead and move to a state which still values freedom and the constitution. Time to stope the charade and paint the State blue.
  5. Given the recent CO legislation, ban on high cap mags, what is going to happen with this match? Is the ATF going to pick us up as soon as we cross state lines or what? Serious question, I'm not sure how it all works, but would rather not risk a felony.
  6. I'm starting to get concerned now. Can anyone confirm the whereabouts of the score-sheets and/or those in charge of posting them to the web?
  7. Nice pics. I just wish the damn results would get posted. At this point if I had results I would be hanging on to them, as it is would be much more fun watching you post and whine about em :)I know, I'm as impatient as they come, though we are pushing a week now.
  8. Nice pics. I just wish the damn results would get posted.
  9. One thing I think would be cool, and let me know if you agree\disagree, is to leave the stages up and give people the option shoot it again on Sunday. You could essentially double the $ on entrance fees, and give us a chance to re-shoot the stages the way we "wish we would have". You could average the days scores, score them separately, or just take the best of the 2.
  10. Does anybody have an idea of when results will be posted?
  11. Will the CoF be posted prior to match start? It would be nice to get an idea of what we are in for.
  12. Ouch, looks like some serious trauma! On this topic, how much material can you remove before the lifter becomes inoperable? I mean, if it works the way you and some other make them, you have to wonder why the created this sharp forked piece of metal in the first place.
  13. It will loosen up to the point where everything will cycle, so no worries. From the sound of it, your first trip out was a lot better than mine.
  14. There are guys that make me look like my shells are dipped in tar, but thanks. I'm working on speeding things up. Up to you on red dot. Personally I don't care what division I am in, I shoot what I want to shoot and compare my results with everyone. I'd like to stick a T1 on mine, but can't justify the price right now.
  15. Nothing world class, but here you go... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2HrjDER8Qxs
  16. Yeah, take your time, no harm in waiting; the gun will whisper to you what it needs when you are both ready. Those nordic components are a no brainer though, and they are not that much money. Charging handle is drop in, but the button requires a tap and die.
  17. Need to? No, but you can shorten it which will make it a bit easier to load, at least the first 4. This is something to test yourself and see if it makes a difference for you personally. Get a consistent par time loading the magazine with the spring, then take it out completely and get another consistent par time. If you notice enough of a difference is speed and/or consistency, you may consider snipping a bit off. Just don't cut too much off or those last few shells won't feed properly; cut a little bit, test; cut a little bit more, test. Our guns may be different though, so proceed with caution.
  18. Well, it's your $900, so do with it what you will of course. If you do insist on beveling the mag well, I would at least wait a while before doing it. Get use to loading the gun as is. If the shells don't get caught up on anything, there is no point in beveling anything; if they do, notice where and only bevel those areas. I know the feeling of wanting to get everything modded right away, but there is no rush, so take your time getting to know your weapon system before you start modding anything. In my opinion, the Nordic charging handle, over-sized bolt release button, and shortening your magazine spring length/tension, will have more payoff than beveling your mag well. No matter what you do though, a fast reload comes down to practice not the mods. As far as quality of work goes, the true test is handing your gun to someone that is not familiar with it, and them being unable to notice you have done anything to it at all.
  19. I would suggest getting the port professionally done, or just leave it be. Otherwise you will end up with that hacked look, (prime pictorial examples in this thread), and for what? It really won't make a significant difference in the speed of your reloads. Keep you gun pretty, invest in a par timer, and practice practice practice.
  20. Yes they are live rounds. Rest assured, however, it is perfectly safe. Weapon is on safe and pointed in a safe direction, live rounds are inserted into the magazine, but never into the chamber. While dummy rounds would be safer, I don't have any problems practicing this way.
  21. K, I figured it out. The problem was not the gun, but the shells. I have been practicing my speed reload over an over with the same shells, which has caused the rims to dish a bit, which has caused them to hang up on the shell stop. FN SLP still rules!!
