  1. So it is the power fluctuation that does it. So as long as I have a clean power source it should be good right?
  2. It's time to upgrade my scale and I've been looking at the Dillon digital scale. While searching around I saw where people are saying that fluorescent lights and cell phone can interfere with the scale. Is anyone having trouble with this?
  3. I'm not a huge fan of the Texas star, but I've faced a couple with a single action before. My thinking on major minor is to shoot minor until I get the then of things then switch to major. It may be flawed thinking, and will probably change.
  4. Don't you love it when that happens. If it does I hope it starts making 124gr JHP's in a quick fast and in a hurry. I also found enough old stuff that I haven't used in years to buy my new 9mm dies and tool head. I hate to admit this but I also found a Lee 1000 9mm loader in a box under the desk. I'm throwing that thing in the scrap metal bucket, but keeping the dies. I figured I could break out my old turret press and use the decapping die on glock brass(I load on a square deal)
  5. I've been rethinking the 9mm part here, and may go 40 S&W. I'm thinking that will give me the option of shooting major or minor.
  6. I really like findin stuff I had forgot I bought. Desided my reloading desk was nasty enough and had to be cleaned and found the following. A new box of Federal Small Pistol Primers 1000 125gr 38 lead bullets 600-700 110gr 38 lead bullets And around 300 zero 115gr JHP 9mm. I haven't reloaded 9mm in 15 years, but I'm getting ready to.

My allergies start just as they do every year, but it seems harder and harder just to get medicine with a decongestant. Four stores to finally get enough to get my wife and myself thru one week. When I did find it I had to give them my licence to scan. Whats next a blood sample and my first born. Oh and the kicker the price is considerably higher than it was last year. It's going to be a long spring.
  8. Dawson also offers one that has the magwell plus some other things changed out on it. http://www.dawsonprecision.com/ProductDetail.jsp?LISTID=80001331-1326311647
  9. My wife has lost almost 60 pounds in the last 8 months. If nothing else it seems to have changed the way she looks at food. You can program it for either losing weight or if you need to gain some it will do that too.
  10. Risk is still to high. It's not the big boys you have to worry about, it's the family. I have seen it to many times(not with guns mind you) Now next time you watch tv see how many commercials you see for attorneys
  11. My production gun is a M&P 9mm. That's why I'm going 9mm with the single stack to keep reloading easier.
  12. Long story short a couple of years ago I was getting into USPSA, but life decided that I would have to wait for a while. Well now I’m ready to go, well that and the fact a club formed less than 10 miles from my house. I plan on shooting Production and Single Stack. I found when I was shooting SASS I got bored with only one division, and I love 1911’s. STI Spartan 9mm CRP from Dawson Precision Dawson Precision Magazines Bladetech DOH Tek Lok (I’m going to change out the DOH to my production rig) Safariland 771 Mag Pouches CR Speed Belt Easy questions: How many mags will I need? Also how many do you normally carry per stage? On the mag pouches I need the 1 1/2” correct?
  13. I just bought my 9mm M&P to shoot production with, and am going to change the sights. Here are my thoughts for now. Keep the rear sight and black out the dots, and then change the front sight out to the Dawson Fiber Optic front sight. For now I am shooting factory Remington 115gr, but when I start reloading will go to either 124, or 147. Question is what size front do I need?
  14. Thanks the 773 is the way I think I'm going to go, but I don't know which one it is. I think it is the 76, but just want to make sure so I don't have to send them back. I found them at Optics Planet for less than dealer cost at Brownells plus free shipping if anyone is looking for them.
  15. The title says it all. I have looked on Safarilands website, and they don't list the M&P. I am going to switch, and am not sure which one to order. Thanks
  16. I don’t plan on running it all at once. I am going to shoot USPSA Production division as well that’s the reason for so many Pistol Mag Holders. I am shooting a S&W M&P 9mm. I also plan on getting the mag extension to make the Pmag hold 47.
  17. I am getting my gear together to start shooting some 3 gun matches, and need to set up my belt. I have a CR Speed belt 32 inch waist, am picking up 4 or 5 Ready Tac Mag holders, 2 Ready Tac AR Mag holders. What I need are the Shot Shell Caddies. I am thinking I would prefer 4 rounder’s, but will probably pick up a couple of 6’s as well. Also on the AR holders I plan on wearing them on my left side with bullets back. Would I need to order right handed bullets back or the other way around? Thanks
  18. Sorry something came up and, I couldn't make this time. I will see what I can do to make one soon.
  19. Yes just sent you one back. I have been dealing with the transmission out of my truck. It gave out on the way into work the other day.
  20. Just checking to see if anyone is going there this weekend. This is going to be my first match, and I am getting excited about it. Sorry if this is in the wrong section.
  21. If you have an Iphone or Itouch you can download the Surefire Shot Timer for free. It runs delay start, random start and par time.
  22. I am just getting started loading for the 40. My bullets are the 170gr from Precision Bullets. I am thinking of starting with Solo 1000. I am kind of limited on my powder selection because I am buying local (Gamaliel Shooting Supply). Any ideas? I did a search, but only came up with 180gr loads.
  23. G-ManBart would the basepads also still be legal for IDPA? Also would you mind posting a picture of what you are talking about on the holster? I never thought about having a real estate issue, but I guess I should have thought about that having a 32 inch waist. Looks like I will be looking at the Ready Tactical pouches, and I will probably be getting 5 just to be on the safe side. raz-0 and ima45dv8 thanks for the info and links.
  24. I get mine here. I have a couple of pairs, and they work well.
  25. I already have a CR Speed Belt, Blade Tech IDPA Competition Pack, M&P .40 S&W, and 6 Magazines. Here are my thoughts you all let me know what you think. I am looking at the Blade Tech Millennium SMP Mag pouch with the Tek-Lok, also how many would I need? As far as holster I was thinking of using my current Blade-Tech holster, and adding the DOH Tek-Lok for shooting USPSA.
