  1. I wasn't at the match but heard nothing but great things about it. I got a call from Katie after day 2 and she told me that this was one of the funnest matches she has shot. When she got home she was more interested in telling me how fun the stages were instead of talking about winning high lady. She was a little hesitate about going this year because her prom was the same weekend. She decided to go and not go to the prom. When she got home, I asked her was it worth going there instead of going to the prom. Her response was that she couldn't have had a better time than at the match. My hats are off to the USPSA crew, sounds like you did an outstanding job.
  2. Yes you can, just put it on the application under squad request.
  3. We hold fundraiser events the entire memorial day weekend. This year we are hosting a 3 man team 3-gun. This is not part of the series 3 man team matches. It could serve as good practice if you are close enough to make the match. We will have 5 stages and a post shoot for the 6th stage. Details are on the range website(creeksidefiringrangerange.com) Hope to see some of you there.
  4. Sorry for the lack of info. We are working on a new website. There will be 4 to 5 stages. Round count is approximately 80 rifle, 80 pistol, 80 bird, and 5 slug. There is no need for a sling. Hope to see you there. If you have any questions feel free to contact me at creek375@gmail.com
  5. Katie is using the Troy Alpha Rail. Don't get so worried about the weight. We started with a very light gun but Katie prefers something with a little more weight. Balance on the gun is more important than weight to help your daughter holding it up.
  6. Stages will be posted up on the match website with round count also sometime in around mid April. I am going through all the stages that were sent in and placing them in zones. There will be 4 zones with 6 stages per zone. We have decided to run 24 stages instead of 20. You guys are going to really like the stages that were designed by a great group of guys. Pat Kelley, Joe Satterfield, Jeff Cramblitt, and Neil Beverly.
  7. I think everyone will be pleased with the stages. There will be a good mixture of stages.
  8. Stages are being designed and will be posted sometime in March. We have heard from some of the Brazilians and Germans and looks like some will make it. Be sure to register and don't miss out on a great time.
  9. Guys relax and I am sorry for the error, the website admin. made a typo and we didn't catch it. We run other matches in the winter there and it slipped past both of us as that is the winter rate.
  10. Trapr, do you guys mind if if I send my young one without me. She will be in good hands. Just want to make sure it is ok for her to shoot without me being there. I will be Kentucky doing set up.
  11. I know everyone can't be pleased with the rules and divisions. So let's concentrate on having fun at the match and enjoy shooting a lot of shotgun over 3 days. I assure you that the stage designers will take into consideration of the rules and divisions and everyone will be very happy when all said and done.
  12. Yes we will shoot Friday, Saturday, and half of day Sunday. I have tried to get the dates changed on the post title and seem to be having no luck with it.
  13. Yes, I will have some updates this week. Since we changed the date we had to get everything in order.
  14. I have talked with Nick at Rockcastle and we are moving the shotgun match to June29th-July 1st. With the multi gun nationlas now in April that month has turned into a mad scramble. We want everyone to be able to come and enjoy this match and concentrate on having great time. We are locked on this date and there will be no more date changes. It is 3 weeks after Iron Man so everyone will have ample time to rest up. We are changing the website and we will have it up the first of next week. Also, Benelli has come on board as the match sponsor.
  15. Hell... I'm happy being just 12.5 hours away! Wanted give some updates for the match. Website should be up in the next 2 weeks. The 3-gun season is winding down and we are going to put a lot effort into making this a great match. I wanted apologize for not having the website up already but we have been getting ready for Nationals. Stay tuned it will be up shortly. We are working with some sponsors right now and will announce them as soon as they are confirmed. Look forward to seeing everyone there. Gonna be some great stages from the course designers.
  16. Long courses meaning amount of shots on stages. There will be no 100 yard runs. I really don't think none of the course designers are going to have a 100 yard stage.
  17. Rockcastle Shooting Center will be hosting a shotgun championship the weekend of June29th-July 1st. The match will consist of 20 stages ranging from short courses to long courses. More details and website will be out soon. Stage designers include Joe Satterfield, Patrick Kelly, and Jeff Cramblitt.
  18. We are having our 4th annual Championship match on October 1st. Information can be found at creeksidefiringrange.com If you have any questions feel free to email me at creek375@gmail.com We have some great sponsors donating some nice prizes. The top finishers will be very pleased for a $50.00 entry. AAC Noveske Blue Force Gear Cherokee Gun 400 Jewelry and Loan
  19. There is always someone looking for a partner. If you don't find one let me know and I will help you find one.
  20. The match is now being known as the Barrett Mammoth Sniper Challenge. I am happy to say that they are the primay match sponsor for the match. They will have a stage gun there to shoot at the match.
  21. I would recommend a bolt action rifle in this match. Scoring is quite simple, you only gets points for the targtes that are hit. You have a time limit on each stage. All scoring is explained on the website(mammothsniperchallenge.com). The breakdown of divisions are 55% in military class and 45% in open. Works out great that way, prize table will be equal on both sides.
  22. The divisions are pretty close in numbers. I will have a firm count tomorrow for each one.
  23. I am on my way back from Montana. When I get back we will have a better count. More like 80 plus.
