  1. Chip McCormick 1911 Power Mag Plus .45 ACP 8-Round Magazine, allows me to load long (1.21) and use faster powders.
  2. I was hesitant about removing it as well. This weekend I just went ahead and removed it. Now I can get a higher grip on the revolver without worrying about getting pinched by the spur, better leverage and I can press it faster. Besides you will probably never use the spur in USPSA competition so why keep it, it just gets in the way? Just do it!
  3. I clean them and put them in a box, a light spray of Prestone Silicone lubricant, mix the cases around and then another light spray. The silicone is carried by a solvent, if you let the cases sit for a couple of hours and let the solvent evaporate there will be no contamination of the powder. The cases are lubed just enough that there is no drag when the cases are being sized. But I agree with Steve J, if the cases are clean you don't need lube for pistol casings when using carbide dies.
  4. +1 I use Solo 1000 under 124 grain cast lead bullets, pushing around 1060 fps. Very little leading, very little smoke. The residue left in the barrel is mainly the bullet lube.
  5. They are crap. I have used these for 3 months. The basepads cracked; the magazine springs got real soft causing FTF's; the followers developed a deep groove where the last round is rotated into the chamber; the magazine feed lips start to spread causing FTE's, FTF's and stovepipes...the round in the magazine would stick up just far enough to interfere with the ejection then spent casing would push the round out of the magazine. Both would remain in the ejection port, pure hell trying to clear that jam during course of fire. I've blown classifiers and other stages because of these magazines. Spend the extra ten bucks and buy genuine Glock magazines. Never had a problem with these.
  6. +1 for Solo 1000, shooting lead also. I am able to clean the barrel with a couple of strokes with a brass brush.
  7. I'm using 124 grain lead TC bullets cast using Lee TL356-124-TC mold, 3.7 grains Solo 1000, OAL is 1.05. This recipe averages 1060 fps, PF averages 131 when fired from a Glock 34, KKM barrel. No leading.
