  1. What's a fair price for a Smith and Wesson 627 that is in good condition? I forgot to say it has a 5 inch barrel.
  2. Shot a match today without a slideracker. Worked just fine. Although, I did not have any jams that I need to clear. I might look into the ball dent thing however.
  3. I keep losing my slide racker. I have to take it off to clean my open gun and I keep forgetting to blue loctite it. Do I really need one? Thinking about just not buying another one and do without.
  4. Well, what I'm trying to say is that if USPSA is going to have any revolver shoorers I think that they need to seperate USPSA into two different areas revolver and semi auto. Other wise I think revolver division will just fade way.
  5. Can revolvers have there own seperate sport? Theres steel challenge, multigun, maybe there can be a whole seperate sport for revolvers? Call it united states revolver practical shooters association or something like that? I think they are making a rifle section. Why not revolvers? Craig
  6. I am all for 8 shot minor. I would be all for 10 shot minor if that was possible. I think that the problem with revolver division is that its so hard to be competitive against all the other divisions. I know your not suppose to compare divisions but everyone does. My competative side comes out when I go to matches. I want to do well. I hate being at the bottom of the overall scores. My two cents. Craig
  7. What's the average price for a plain Smith and Wesson 625? What would I expect to pay?
  8. Does barrel length effect choke tube pattern? For example, would you have a wider pattern with a skeet choke on a 24 inch barrel as compared to a 30 inch barrel?
  9. That would have been very scary. Although, it happens so fast I wasn't scared until a few seconds after. And why does my hand sting.
  10. O.K. I will. Start at 6.5 or lower?
  11. Thanks, I'll give it a try. What do you think would be safer 115gr or 124gr bullets or is there no difference?
  12. Glock 17 , Lone wolf barrel, 4 port carver comp
  13. Yeah, I think I would have a lot of fun doing that.
  14. Thanks guys for all the help. Maybe latech15 was right maybe I should go back to production. Open was so much just so much fun.
  15. I chonos all my loads. I'm out there to have fun. An open Glock is an affordable way for me to do that. Who's your sponsor? I'll make sure I never use them. Thanks for the encouragement and help.
  16. Be sure to check that with...whatever particular bullet you are using...the combination of the bullet profile and the overall length is such that the bullet doesn't contact the rifling in the chamber. Thanks
  17. So, JJ Racaza is not a real shooter. You must be really good to beat him. Are you a GM with sponsors?
  18. Yes, a heavier bullet will create more pressure with the same powder charge. But we're talking about making the same power factor. A heavier bullet will require less gunpowder to make the same power factor. That, in itself, does not say anything about the pressure required to make the same power factor, but published data suggests that the heavier bullet will be able to make the same power factor with less pressure when using the same gunpowder. So, a heavier bullet is safer than a light bullet?
  19. A heavier bullet will create more pressure with the same/ similar powder charge. 1.160 is about max in a Glock magazine. In order to be at 165 power factor I either need to have a light bullet with more powder or a heavier bullet with less powder. Whats safer? Which one is the chamber pressure lower? Or are they the same?
