  1. I'd recommend using your trigger finger too. I have a good friend who's a lefty and a master class USPSA Limited shooter. He uses his trigger finger and does 1 second reloads. He's always said he has an advantage being a lefty. By using the trigger finger to operate the mag release it's virtually impossible to have an AD on the reload because your finger was on the trigger. You have to get your finger out of the trigger guard to operate the mag release. Being a righty with small hands, I've considered getting an ambi release just so I could do the same thing.
  2. Flex, How far is it off by length-wise? I know a couple friends that had similar problems with 1100's and extended tubes. They clipped a coil or 2 off of the spring & were able to put 10 in the tube.

    Nationals

Yeah, I didn't think too much of the extra $50 either. But, I wouldn't let it keep me away from the Nationals. I went to the Open Nat's last year and had a great time. It's a great place to learn & it's a lot of fun. Considering, the travel & lodging costs, an extra $50 isn't that much. Then again, I was lucky enough to have won an Open slot and was able to get a Limited slot through my Section Coordinator. I can understand choosing not to go because of principles. But, then again you'll pass up a good learning opportunity. Good luck on your decision!
  4. Duane, The song is "Change Your Mind". The band is "Sister Hazel. The complete lyrics are out there on their website. http://www.sisterhazel.com
  5. Chris, I can't answer why you'd want/need a 1050 vs. a 650 since I don't have a 1050. I can tell you you won't be disappointed in the 650. I switched to a 650 from a 550 a couple of years ago. I know several others who have switched from 550's and SDB's to 650's. For the average heavy shooter (25K-75K a year), the 650's a great press. The caliber conversions are easier to switch and less expensive. And, the lifetime warranty is worth it. If you're reloading a lot, you will eventually wear a few parts out. With the 650, just call Dillon up and they'll ship the new parts right out. You'll love the casefeeder.
  6. Phil, You might want to consider Area 2. It's being held in November in conjunction with the Rio Salado Desert Classic again this year. I went last year & it was a lot of fun. There won't be as many stages as the Nat's. But, it will have a lot of top notch competition. I think there were 25 or so GM's there last year. Plus, it's at the center of the Benosphere. What more could you ask for? Maybe the Ghost Dog will show up and shoot this year.
