  1. I'm going to start reloading .223 for my 3-gun needs. Am I giving up a lot of accuracy with the mixed headstamp brass? I'll be using 68-75 gr match bullets and the brass will be sized and trimmed properly.
  2. I had an Autodrive on my Super 1050 for a short time reloading 9mm. There was a problem in either the Autodrive unit or in my Super 1050. Excessive flex somewhere was causing incomplete stroking. No amount of adjustment or tech support from P/W (which was great) would fix the problem. I spent about 16 hours working on the issue. I am an engineer and part of my daily job routine is adjusting/operating electric crimp presses. The Autodrive flat out did not work properly so I sent it back. P/W credited me in full. The guys at P/W are stand up fellas and go the extra mile to help. YMMV
  3. I just called Dillon tech support about this. The 1200b trimmer does full length resize and trim to length like I thought. The tech I talked to owns one and uses it regularly on 5.56 military brass. So if I feed the brass through the Dillon 1200b and set the trim length to 1.745-1.75 everything should spit out ready to roll? Am I missing anything? The tech also said to do away with the neck sizing die in station 1 on the 1050 and just use a universal decapping die.
  4. I'd like to setup a 1050 to reload military once fired brass .223 without having a second tool head. Here's my idea for doing this, let me know if I am overlooking anything: Press 1 = Dillon trimmer mounted on single stage press, which will basic resize/trim/and vaccuum off the brass shavings. Do not tumble, leave lube on cases. Press 2 = 1050 with the following setup in each station: 1-casefeed 2-neck resize / decapping 3-swage 4-prime 5-powder 6-KISS bullet feeder 7-bullet seat (will be using boat tailed bullets only) 8-taper crimp Do you see any problems with this setup? I really don't want to switch 1050 tool heads out. Using the single stage press to size/trim seems like a simple fix.
  5. The new data shows 4.2gr as the max with a 115gr. With 4.2gr I was chronoing at 124 PF consistently.
  6. It seems like a lot of people don't like Solo 1000 for light bullets but I've found it works fine. I like the way my G34 tracks with 115gr ammo way more that the 147gr stuff. I chronographed some Solo 1000 loads today: 4.4 gr Solo 1000 115 gr Montana Gold hollow points Federal SP primers Mixed brass 1.130 OAL Temperature = 71° Gun = Glock 34 with factory barrel w/ 13 lb ISMI spring Average velocity = 1124 FPS PF=129.2
  7. I have a Mr Bulletfeeder on my 1050. Once it is setup it is phenomenal. Worth every single penny.
  8. Anyone have a fix for this? I can't really adjust the powder station position much or it will rub heavily on the primer tube during cycling. As it is now, if I have the powder topped off, the low powder sensor rod constantly hits against the case feeder.
  9. Get the MGW tool for the the tall-flat sided sights. It works for most everything, including removing stock sights.
  10. I see. Then how are G34 extended slide locks and mag releases legal for use on G17's, which never had them as a factory option?
  11. Title says it all. Is it legal in USPSA Production division?
