That's my old 34. we did a trade a while ago.
-
Hmmm,
that 34 looks familar.
-
My G17 with Ice and same sights fits the box.
Depends on the box though

A friend had this problem. He's not around for a while so I cannot check.
If I remember correctly it was a bad mag catch spring.
Maybe someone else can confirm.

If you are set on 9+1 how about just adding a +1 cap?
https://www.shooterssource.com/shotgun-performance/shooters-source-1-2-mxt-extension-caps.html
I have a +6 tube for 10 and the +2 cap brings it to 12
The +5 should give 9

Also, just a heads up for my fellow VM owners, Dawson Precision has a aftermarket firing pin for the VM. I ordered one and am going to throw it in.
Link please, can't find it on their site.

With those basepads, New Para mags and grams springs and followers I get 22 rounds
I did use the inserts from the para basepads. They did have to be modified a bit to fit,
basically sanding the cicumference.

I wouldn't sell the factory mags.
You can buy these base pads
http://www.gunpartscorp.com/ad/1371120.htm
Use grams springs and followers and you should get 22 rounds.
Old made made in Canada mags with Dawson pads also work for me but you need to use the aArredondo inserts and a different follower.
I've been using the first option without issue for quite some time.

Agree with everyone else.
People asking questions aren't committed. People who ask where to send money are.
I used to give people asking questions first priority but I ended up losing the sale 95% of the time to the person asking questions and the next person in line.
Agree.
I've played the 20 questions before only to have 'the buyer' back out or end communication and during that time a second or third interested party pass because they found the same item or something else.

Sorry for your loss OP.
I've had to say goodbye to 3 dogs and a few cats over the years.
It's difficult when they go.

I put one of these in
not the right size but you get the idea

Grizz,
I have those basepads and they will fit para mags that i got from PARA
they will not fit (lock) the mecgar mags.
they are too short- the mags that is.
tonight or tomorrow I will take pics.
It Might be possible to grind the pads down enough to lock but in stock form they do not fit.
Others' experience might be different

Shannon give some tips below.

Vert and horizontal should be .5 MOA not .25.
in case you actually use them.
Otherwise looks ok
you have 3,4,5,600 pretty much spot on.
I dont use the zero offset feature so no comment on that.

I just swapped out the guide rod and spring for a standard set.

There is s roll pin about 1" from the front of the loading port drive it out with a punch and small hammer towatds the top of the reciever and drive it in in the same direction. Prior to removing the latch note where the springs are located for when you reassemble. This is a picture of where I filed down and polished. I started with a half round needle file and finished with progressive grit wet dry sandpaper taped to a shotgun shell to match the contour. And finished with a dremel with a felt wheel and some flitz metal polish. How exactly do you remove the shell latch? Where is the pin and which way do you drive it out?
Any close-up pics of the shell latch and the area to polish?
Some considerations with this
Its been mentioned here and i also talked to a few smiths
-drive the rollpin out from top to bottom
if you go bottom to top and use the wrong punch or make a mistake you risk enlarging the hole and them the pin can come loose, move past the receiver bottom.
At best you coud chew up you hand/fingers on the reload. at worse the pin might work itself out during a stage
-Be careful with polishing the shell latch. If you go to far or do not keep the angle on the backside you could get doublefeeds and then the shotgun is pretty much locked up.
I would buy some extra rollpins and a latch or two before doing this.
you can actually get both on amazon.
I learned the hard way about both of the above.

I still have one. Shot it for about 2 years. Its on my limited gun now.
Mine might be different- its the pencil .625 from a few years ago.
I cant tell you about group size but never had a problem out to 400 on MGM flashers or Larues ( other than me that is)

OP, did you call or email Shay?
-
I'll agree with Jesse but I'm rooting for the oldest guy there, whomever that is.
I'm working on an AARP sponsorship in a few years!
